Children are the most precious thing in a mother’s life… and her most vulnerable spot…
It’s easy to stay in harmony and be calm when your children are okay.
But how difficult it is to keep your balance when your child is in danger or has been hurt.
In that moment, the conscious mind shuts off, and the ancient maternal instinct kicks in: protect at any cost.
But you and I both know that you can only offer real support when, instead of worry and anxiety, you radiate calm and confidence in their safety.
So how do you actually do that?!
In my life, there was a time when I couldn’t find my 4-year-old daughter, who was playing outside, for 2 hours… Checking nearby houses, playgrounds, calling friends—nothing worked…
And just when I was on the verge of despair, the phrase «Om Mani Padme Hum» popped into my head… I repeated it out loud like a prayer until my joyful child ran up to the entrance and breathlessly told me that she and a friend had gone to the park to watch them collect birch sap.
After this incident, I learned that the mantra «Om Mani Padme Hum» invokes the protection of the Lady Guan Yin, who provides protection for children and mothers.
And although many years have passed, in anxious moments I always play this mantra… calling upon the blessing and protection of Guan Yin…
Guan Yin / Kuan Yin
From Doreen Virtue’s book «Archangels and Ascended Masters»:
Kuan Yin truly hears and answers every prayer addressed to her.
She is both a goddess and a bodhisattva, meaning an «enlightened being.» A bodhisattva can become a Buddha, but Kuan Yin is filled with such great love for humanity that, upon reaching enlightenment, instead of ascending to the Buddha realm, she chose to remain in human form until every one of us becomes enlightened.
She loves to share her spiritual gifts and help us attain deep knowledge and enlightenment, reducing life’s suffering. It is believed that simply repeating her name offers guaranteed protection from all evil.
Kuan Yin is often called the «Mother Goddess of the East» because she represents the Divine essence of woman and the Divine energy of the Buddhist religion, just as Mary radiates tender, loving femininity in Christianity.
Kuan Yin teaches us to practice a life without harm and pain, with immense care to ease the suffering of the world.

How to Invoke Her
Quan Yin always hears and answers our prayers; there is no special ritual required to call upon her.
However, you may feel a stronger heart connection with her through flowers. Those who work closely with Quan Yin often chant the mantra: “Om Mani Padme Hum,” which means: “Hail to the jewel hidden in the lotus flower.”
A prayer to help call upon Quan Yin:
“Beloved Quan Yin, I ask you to hear the prayers coming from my heart. Please open and understand my true needs. I ask you to intervene in certain areas of my life that are filled with pain. I ask you to come and offer me help and support, guide me to see the situation in a new light — the light of love and compassion. Please help me become like you, to live in harmony and with meaning.”

Mantras
A mantra is an ancient sacred formula, a bundle of energy in which vast information is encoded. With its help, we connect our personal consciousness with the Divine principle and open the path to our spiritual growth.
When a person is constantly focused on repeating divine vibrations, they themselves become filled with divine qualities. Therefore, if a mantra is repeated many times and applied in the correct way, it can activate programs of health, wealth, success, love, and happiness within a person. It will help a person overcome difficulties, restore the favor of fate, and protect them from misfortune.
All mantras are pronounced in Sanskrit, one of the most ancient languages.
From the beginning of the practice of chanting mantras, special vibrations begin to act within a person’s body. At first, they are imperceptible, but with continued practice, the vibrations intensify and can bring a person to a state where the body vibrates completely in unison with the Energy of the Universe. It is believed that if you repeat a mantra 108 times daily for 21 days, you automatically connect to the Universal channels of abundance.
Mantra Om Mani Padme Hum
“Hail to the jewel hidden in the lotus flower.”
One way to understand this mantra is: OM is the Absolute, existing beyond everything unmanifested. MANI is a precious stone or crystal, PADME is the lotus, HUM is the heart.
Thus, here is one level of understanding the mantra: “The entire universe is like a precious stone or crystal, located in the center of my heart, or in the core of the lotus which is me; it is manifested, it shines in my heart.”
