Gratitude. What role does it play in your life?

«Gratitude is a magic potion for any ailment. It is the fastest way to dispel anxiety, get rid of disappointment, and change a negative mood to a positive one. When gratitude replaces judgment, your body is enveloped in peace, your soul is embraced by kindness, and your mind is filled with wisdom.»

Neale Donald Walsch

Experiencing a feeling of gratitude is a simple way to switch from a victim mindset, get out of a slump, expand your consciousness, and raise your vibrations. It helps in forgiveness, acceptance of yourself and the situation.

How often do you experience this feeling, consciously applying the practice of gratitude?

With this article, I want to remind you that you always have this universal and accessible tool at hand.

Although many neglect it.

Do not look for complex solutions; at the right moment, remember gratitude. Read about its benefits.

7 Benefits of Gratitude

1. Gratitude teaches you to appreciate what you have

If a person lacks something, they often turn to higher powers with a request to help them get it.

Thus increasing the lack in their life.

Try to act differently. When you catch yourself thinking that you are complaining about not having something, that you were shortchanged, stop and think about how often YOU give thanks for what you receive.

Are you not devaluing the gifts that the universe presents to you?

Try to find what you can thank life for. Focus not on what you don’t have, but on what you already have.

You have eyes, and you can see — be thankful for that. After all, there are people who are not born with this ability.

You have shelter and food. Yet thousands of people on the planet have no roof over their heads and go hungry.

You have life — you are alive. Isn’t that a reason for gratitude?

Was your wallet stolen? Instead of lamenting the last of your money, be thankful that you remained unharmed. Money can be earned, but health is much harder to restore.

The human mind is wired in such a way that people take blessings for granted — as if they are simply meant to be — and focus on what they lack.

They feel discontent when something is taken away. As the proverb says: “We don’t treasure what we have until we lose it, and then we weep.”

Train yourself to value what you possess. Use the practice of gratitude for this purpose.

Play the game that the heroine of the film “Pollyanna” played. The point of the game was to find something good and beneficial for yourself in an unpleasant situation.

2. Gratitude helps you get out of a failure

If you feel that you have failed, a quick and accessible way to return to a resourceful state is to shift your focus to gratitude.

When you choose gratitude in a moment of failure, it’s as if a switch flips inside you. You seem to switch to a different reality.

Just a minute ago, you saw only black, white, and gray, but when you experience a feeling of gratitude, a much wider spectrum of colors becomes available to your sight.

It is harder at that moment to find what you can be thankful for.

3. Gratitude promotes healing

By switching to the vibration of gratitude, you heal your body and soul. This emotion vibrates at a high frequency, second only to love and peace.

By radiating it, you gradually rewrite your personal vibration and heal your physical body.

Any illness is a signal that a person is doing something wrong in their life. Thank your body for the pain, even if you cannot understand the reason. The answer will definitely come.

Gratitude heals the heart chakra. This is useful for those whose heart chakra is blocked. By radiating gratitude, you gradually melt the ice in your heart and allow yourself to feel emotions.

4. The feeling of gratitude helps to forgive and accept

By allowing yourself to thank your offenders, you free yourself from the anger and resentment that have bound you for a long time. Gratitude helps you feel true forgiveness, acceptance of the situation, and release from destructive emotions.

This requires a decision. After all, you become vulnerable. But the one who chooses gratitude never loses.

When you choose to see the true meaning in an unfavorable situation, you transition from a state of victim to a state of creator.

In other words, you expand your consciousness, and what you previously did not see becomes accessible to you.

You gain the understanding that you have nothing to forgive, because you have already found the answer. All that remains for you is to be grateful and to treat the situation and the people involved in it with understanding and acceptance.

5. Gratitude allows you to see a person’s soul, dissolves hatred

When you choose not to judge a person and open yourself to the true meaning and lesson they have presented to you, you become strong and able to radiate gratitude for the experience you have received.

The feeling of gratitude is the key to seeing the soul in another person, to looking at what happened from a different angle. You no longer see a culprit and an offended party, but a learning process in which each of you receives your own valuable experience.

When you are able to thank a person for the lesson, you step onto a completely new path and can see new horizons that were previously inaccessible to you without this.

Gratitude disarms the opponent. Their manipulations against you cease to work. You see their true essence, but you look at them without hatred, with a feeling of compassion.
