The mantra of RA-attainment

Your throat chakra governs your self-expression, your ability to channel love through creativity, and to connect the seemingly unconnectable.

It is the center of your “authentic voice.”

I’d like to share an exercise from the 7 Keys of Mindfulness training program, designed to activate the throat chakra using mantras.

In this case, we’ll use the mantra of RA-joy. Specifically, the version performed by Gaiyawata, with hand movements.

The Task

Chant this mantra every day for a minimum of 10 minutes.

The Mantra of Joy

Chant this while seated. Place your hands on your knees, palms facing down.

Om tare – Turn your right palm upward.

Tu tare – Turn your left palm upward.

Tu re – Bring your right hand parallel to your heart, palm facing down.

Soha – Bring your left hand parallel to your belly, palm facing up.

Om tare – Join both palms together at the level of your solar plexus.

Tu tare – Raise your arms up above your head.

Tu re – Cross your arms, placing your palms on your shoulders.

Soha – Return your hands to the starting position on your knees, palms facing down.

Don’t forget to jot down how you feel. Keep your attention on your throat center.

What is happening there? Where is your voice flowing from?

What is the RA-joy mantra and what is it used for?

The RA-joy mantra is a practice for activating the throat chakra, which governs self-expression, creativity, and the expression of love. It is used as part of the “7 Keys of Mindfulness” training and helps practitioners uncover their “authentic voice.”

How do I correctly perform the RA-joy mantra with hand movements?

The mantra is chanted while seated. Begin with your hands on your knees, palms down. On “Om tare,” turn your right palm up. On “Tu tare,” turn your left palm up. On “Tu re,” bring your right hand parallel to your heart, palm down. On “Soha,” bring your left hand parallel to your belly, palm up. Then, join both palms at the solar plexus, raise your arms overhead, cross them with palms on your shoulders, and finally return your hands to the starting position.

How much time should I dedicate to the RA-joy mantra practice each day?

It is recommended to chant the RA-joy mantra daily for a minimum of 10 minutes. During the practice, focus your attention on your throat center and write down your sensations to track your progress.
