Not only humans have chakras.
Our planet, Gaia, a living entity that supports you and helps you evolve, has them too.
We offer you 2 ways to work with planetary chakras, for an advanced audience and for those who are not so advanced.
What are the Earth’s Chakras?
The Earth’s chakras are the organs of its body, necessary for maintaining the health of the world; they are significant for all living beings that depend on the environment.
Each chakra performs two functions:
- To maintain global health;
- To transmit and receive energy carrying encoded information.
On every continent, except Antarctica, one great chakra of the Earth is located.
At the center of each chakra lies a primary sacred space. From this center, the chakra expands outward in a circle, having a radius of hundreds of miles.
If the planet’s chakra is in a state of optimal health, this radius in most cases is about 1243 kilometers.
All chakras are living organs that expand and contract depending on the complex conditions that influence them.
The overall shape of each chakra is spherical, resembling a flying saucer, with its maximum circumference located on the Earth’s surface; the chakra has vertical extensions into the atmosphere and underground, connecting with the deepest structures of the planet.
The transmission of energy by the chakras also takes the form of a sphere or a flying saucer; these energies penetrate through the soil, air, and water.
The sacred space at the center of the chakra determines the purpose of this planetary organ.
A chakra is a dynamic funnel of subtle energies. In some situations, these energies can rotate and spiral both clockwise and counterclockwise.
Sometimes the force of an Earth chakra can be directed in a straight line along so-called dragon paths, ley lines, or sound lines.
These connecting pathways are analogous to the nervous, circulatory, or acupuncture meridian systems. All of the Earth’s chakras are connected by great ley lines.
Planetary Chakras by Robert Coon
As with any topic that cannot be “touched,” there are several classifications of the planet’s chakra sites.
I offer you 2 of them, take your pick 🙂
The author of the classification below is Robert Coon, known for his work on studying the Earth’s ley lines.
First Chakra: Mount Shasta
Mount Shasta is located at the southern end of the Cascade Range. This is the planet’s root chakra, the “foundation” of its energy system.
Chakra Function
To generate a flow of life energy or prana, which as yet has no form or structure.
The life stream of Mount Shasta only takes on a certain form after it is transformed within one of the other great chakras of the Earth.

Second Chakra: Lake Titicaca
On the Island of the Sun in Lake Titicaca lies the Titicaca Stone, which is the geometric center of the Earth’s second chakra.
Chakra Function
World center for creating new species and significant intraspecies evolutionary development.
Lake Titicaca corresponds to the sexual-creative chakra in the human body. It governs all species, focusing on positive mutations and evolutionary changes.
Energy Movement
The unformed life forces of Mount Shasta are transmitted to Lake Titicaca through the great ley artery — the Feathered Serpent.
This life-giving telluric flow travels around the entire planet, heading to its home at El Tule in Mexico.
The Rainbow Serpent intersects with the Feathered Serpent on the Island of the Sun. These two giant ley arteries also intersect on the island of Bali in Indonesia.
The circumference of the second chakra on the Earth map includes many sacred sites of the Andes Mountains, including Machu Picchu and Cusco.
Third Chakra: Uluru Monolith and Kata Tjuta Rock
These two twin sites are located in the Northern Territory of Australia. They form the planet’s “solar plexus” chakra.
The Uluru monolith, formerly called Ayers Rock, is a huge red monolith — a symbol of Australia along with the Opera House. Kata Tjuta (Mount Olga) also makes an indelible impression. This rock formation consists of a large number of massive red stones.
Chakra Function
To maintain the life force, vitality of the Earth and all its species.
Energy Movement
The Rainbow Serpent follows the path of life, beginning deep within the planet and emerging onto the surface precisely at Uluru. This energy is then transmitted to Kata Tjuta through special sound lines exiting Uluru on the western side from the cave of the hare wallaby, Mala Puta.
Inside the natural temple of Kata Tjuta, the universal life energy is shaped into different patterns corresponding to the numerous life species on Earth.
After “packaging” the energies of the “solar plexus” in the Valley of the Winds, the Rainbow Serpent exits this region through a huge heart-shaped stone of Ngunngarra (fuchsia-colored) and moves to Bali.
The energies of the second chakra from Lake Titicaca are directed to the third chakra — Uluru and Kata Tjuta — via the world ley artery, the Rainbow Serpent, which crosses the southern Pacific Ocean, goes under New Zealand, and emerges onto the Australian continent at Wilsons Promontory.
Fourth Chakra: Glastonbury and Shaftesbury
Glastonbury, Somerset and Shaftesbury, Dorset define the center of the planetary heart chakra.
Glastonbury is the home of the Holy Grail, and Shaftesbury is the location of the sacred Spear of Healing.
When the Earth energies at Glastonbury unite with the energies of Shaftesbury, the ley artery of the Rainbow Serpent is able to deliver the immortal frequencies of the Holy Grail to all beings on the planet.
Chakra Function
Develops the ability of individual life forms to interact with each other, with love and compassion, in order to raise the frequencies of all life on Earth.
Energy Movement
The Rainbow Serpent makes its great circuit from Uluru to Bali, to Mount Kailash and Sergiev Posad (Zagorsk, Moscow), through Denmark, and then reaches England.
As the Rainbow Serpent moves around the world, it accumulates and releases information in various locations. Specifically, Shaftesbury acts as a decoder of information brought by the Rainbow Serpent from Mount Kailash in Tibet.
It is also possible to move life force from the third chakra to the fourth chakra in a different direction – from Uluru to Lake Titicaca, through the Azores to Cornwall, and then to Glastonbury-Shaftesbury.
The simultaneous dual impulse in both directions completes the great planetary circle in which the Earth’s chakras – the second, third, fourth, sixth, and seventh – participate.

Fifth Chakra: The Great Pyramid, Mount Sinai, and the Mount of Olives
The world’s “throat” chakra, the voice of the Earth, is unique compared to other planetary sacred centers.
Energy Movement
This chakra is the only one not located on the ley lines of the Rainbow Serpent (feminine energy) or the Feathered Serpent (masculine energy). As it spins, this chakra helps propel energy along the path of the Rainbow Serpent, but from a great distance.
The center of this chakra is defined by three sacred sites.
Mount Sinai, where Moses, carrying the knowledge of Kabbalah from Egypt, received revelation.
The Great Pyramid – one of the few artificially created chakras of the Earth. Unite your truth with the highest purpose of the Earth and direct this unified force as a living word from the Queen’s Chamber in the Great Pyramid or from the very highest point of the Pyramid into the world.
The Mount of Olives, which offers a view of the mystical Golden Gate, is a center of three religions. The archetypal word of the Age of Aquarius is directed towards all cultures from this very mountain, opening the Golden Gate so that all beings may enter the fullness of life within the planetary New Jerusalem, which is the eternal home of all species, cultures, and beliefs.
Chakra Function
Activates the ability for direct communication with the Spirit of the Earth in order to comprehend its Will and attune to its purpose. A dialogue between the Earth and all beings inhabiting it.
Sixth Chakra: The Activation Center of an Era
This planetary chakra, like all others, has a geometric center and an ideal expanded circumference. The difference is that this “third eye” moves one-twelfth of its world path westward at the dawn of each new era.
The change of great eras is determined by a shift in the Earth’s axis. Each era has its own name, given according to the signs of the Zodiac. We are now entering the Age of Aquarius, and after the year 4000, there will be another shift in the Earth’s axis, and the Earth will enter the Age of Capricorn…
At the appointed time, the Spirit of the Earth signals all forces to gather in the central geographical region for the inauguration of a new age. These forces begin to interact with each other, and the planetary sixth chakra begins to activate and expand.
It remains in one place for 150-200 years, enough time for the archetypes of the new era to become established, and then it disappears. Some two thousand years later, the planet again signals the need for a shift, and this chakra moves one-twelfth westward.
Purpose of Chakra Functioning
To sort the accumulated wisdom of life on Earth over many centuries, and then use these fruits of wisdom to open new directions for planetary evolution.
Seventh Chakra: Mount Kailash
Kailash is the most sacred mountain in the Himalayas, the center of the world’s crown chakra.
It transmits Earth’s purpose or its true will.
From the summit of Mount Kailash, year after year, “blueprints” are sent into the world, based on which the planet, like an architect, creates an immortal global vibrational structure.
Kailash also releases information concerning longer cycles of time.
For example, the creative activity of the mobile sixth chakra is controlled from Mount Kailash in accordance with four great 19-year cycles, which are linked to the arrival of a special full moon in Scorpio (sometimes these cycles are called the Great Wesak Cycles).
There is another, 12-year cycle, which is also used by immortal beings to build the future. This cycle is called the Melchizedek Cycle; it is initiated by Jupiter’s entry into the constellation of Aries. The Melchizedek Cycles, for example, began in 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, and 1999.
Function of the chakra
Provides total unity between the task of the evolutionary process and personal destiny.

How to work with the Earth’s chakras
Many of you have already heard me mention Suzanne Carroll, the author of the Arcturian Corridor.
She not only has her own classification of the Earth’s chakras but also a different approach to working with them.
Suzanne believes that uniting the human chakras with the planetary chakras is one of the most important steps for grounding and manifesting your Multidimensional Self.
“In the 5th stage, you recognize, communicate with, download, and integrate the higher aspects of YOURSELF.
At this stage, it is important not only to maintain grounding but to practically merge with Gaia, connecting your consciousness and chakra system with the consciousness/chakras of the planet.
This not only allows you to download higher multidimensional light but also helps the Earth raise its vibrations.”
More details on these 5 stages of activating your Multidimensional Self
You know that we are all interconnected and One.
When you begin to feel this, your individual human consciousness expands to the level of Collective Consciousness.
The next step in the evolution of consciousness is Planetary Consciousness, which is initiated from the moment of recalibrating your personal chakras with the planetary ones.
Algorithm for uniting personal and planetary chakras
The unification of chakras is carried out sequentially, from the 1st to the 7th chakras.
Principle of unification:
- You descend down into the center of the planet, uniting your essence with the essence of Gaia.
- You smoothly rise up from the planet’s core into the very heart of the planetary chakra, where your chakra resonates with the portal of the planetary chakra, and then unites with it.
See the infographic for the location and meaning of the planetary chakras according to Suzanne Carroll:
- If you are working hard to expand your consciousness and remember your multidimensional nature, I recommend using the option of merging your chakra system with the planetary one.
- If you feel that you are not yet ready for serious transformations, stick with the chakra attunement meditation.
