How thoughts affect your health. 4 ways to stop the flow of mental negativity.

“Our body is constantly speaking to us. If only we would take the time to listen. Every cell in the body reacts to every thought and every word.”
Louise Hay

How accurately these words capture the main cause of illness. How simple and yet complex everything is arranged. It’s incredible how strongly the quality of a thought influences a person’s life, including their health.

The stream of thoughts that come into your head can inspire and uplift a person, or it can depress and strain them.

Think about it: one single thought can charge a person with energy, give them a dose of happiness, and inspire them for an entire day (or even longer). And then you radiate high vibrations: happiness, pleasure, joy, and gratitude.

Therefore, when you know how to sort your conclusions and manage this “swarm” of important and not-so-necessary thoughts, you know how to manage your reality. And as strange as it may sound, you know how to manage your health!

Read in the article how thoughts affect health and your life, and how to eliminate the flow of mental negativity.

How thoughts affect health and a person’s subtle bodies

A fleeting thought with a “minus” sign does not have a deep impact on health, but when you replay it over and over again, it attracts events with a negative energetic charge into your space (the Law of Attraction of the Universe comes into play).

Often, negative conclusions tightly envelop your consciousness (especially for women, due to their emotional nature). You want to hide from them, run away…

But it’s not easy. The thought keeps persistently repeating, anxiety and tension build up, and fears and limitations are quick to follow, and as a result, the physical body falls ill.

Welcome, illness! At that moment, you yourself opened your arms wide to illness.

We live in a vast information field, and our task is to learn how to sort the information we receive.

After all, before a physical illness manifests, the energetic and mental bodies receive their portion of negativity.

When the bodies have caught a thought with a “minus” sign, it is within your power to immediately figure out why exactly the mental and physical bodies caught this thought. Then the obsessive thought will recede and will not have a harmful effect.

Illness stops you and gives you time to think, catch your breath, reflect, and reconsider your view of the current situation (this is, of course, a positive moment!).

A multitude of monotonous thoughts is a certain type of control, and control is fear. Fear prevents you from being yourself – from seeing, hearing, and feeling yourself.

As a result, one of the first signals to arise is a headache. The body gives a signal for the person not to strain their mind so much, not to try to understand everything in the world, but to listen to their heart, to their soul.

Another example of a signal the body gives is pain in the legs.

One of the common fears is the fear of the future. When thoughts start circling day and night: “What will happen tomorrow? What will I buy food with? What next step should I take so as not to make a mistake?” and so on.

The consequence is problems with the legs (bruises and various leg injuries). There is no trust in the Earth, it is scary to move forward, to be flexible.

There is a cure for this ailment as well — gratitude, trust in yourself and the Universe!

Therefore, a cheerful person who can find the positive in any situation, who loves themselves, understands and takes care of themselves, gets sick much less often and attracts more joyful events into their life.

Where Does Negative Thinking Come From

Regardless of the level of development, negative thoughts are present in any person. If you figure out where this obsessive and harmful thought came from, you understand that you attracted it yourself through fears, beliefs, and limitations that cause an imbalance in the human energy system.

It is important to listen to yourself and find the answer to the question: “Where did such a pest come from in my beautiful head?” What is it:

  • fear (of the future, fear of expressing yourself, fear of not being liked),
  • beliefs, your own or society’s (parents know better what their children need),
  • a thinking stereotype (a black cat crossed your path – to trouble),
  • catastrophic thinking (everything can’t always be good, there must be difficulties),
  • the habit of blaming yourself (bad mother, wife, etc.),
  • the habit of dividing everything into “bad” and “good”.

The red button to start the process of negative thinking can be anything. And everyone has their own “list”.

And in general, everyone has the right to choose — which thought to think.

4 Ways to Eliminate Negative Thoughts

You cannot forbid thoughts from appearing in your head; it is within your power to choose which one to keep with you right now. Thoughts are a powerful signal to the Universe that has the property of manifesting — this has been proven more than once.

Attention, awareness, and switching are the key points of transitioning to positive thinking. And if you do not want your negative thoughts to manifest, then:

1. Show attention and awareness towards yourself

Learn to say “STOP!” to obsessive thoughts. Learn to recognize your emotions and thoughts and acknowledge their right to exist in your mind, without denying them.

When you realize you have started replaying a negative thought over and over, tell yourself: “Yes, I just got angry,” “Yes, I just thought something bad,” and so on. Allow them to stay in your head for a while, and then tell them: “Enough.”

2. Learn to relax and not dive headfirst into the problem

“Breathe through” the situation with your heart, calm your mind. It will be resolved anyway, or you will understand what steps need to be taken to solve it.

And by relaxing, you will experience the troubling moment more easily and comfortably for your physical body.

3. Switch your attention from the problem to something that brings joy

How are little children distracted when they cry or throw a tantrum? They are told: “Oh, look at that big tree!” — and the child calms down.

Find your own switching mechanism. It is very simple. Everyone has something that brings pleasure and joy. For example, soulful music, a favorite book, someone gets captivated by dance, someone immerses themselves in drawing, someone simply goes for a walk. Anything at all!

Use ways to switch from stress to mindfulness.

4. Adopt the position of the “Observer”

This way, the situation will be visible from several sides, which means that you will be the one managing it, not it managing you.

By performing these actions, you deprive the negative thought of the ability to influence you and cause harm, leaving it no chance to drain your energy again.

Accept any thoughts in your head. Forgive yourself for the “bad” ones, understanding that they are caused by unprocessed fears and beliefs.

Learn what the state of the Observer is and how to enter it.

Understand that a negative thought that arises does not make a person bad. There is no need to “punish” or judge yourself for them.

Your reaction to them is what matters: anger, aggression, dissatisfaction speak of self-rejection; gratitude for their appearance and a calm parting with them speaks of your wholeness.

May your thoughts become your friends!
