The correct way to see out the old year

According to a long-standing Russian tradition, an hour before midnight on December 31st, people begin bidding farewell to the outgoing year, giving thanks for all the gifts and blessings it has brought.

At midnight, to the chime of the Kremlin bells, we welcome the New Year, wishing each other happiness and joy, and placing our hopes on what the coming year will bring.
