How can a person disconnect from an egregore?

You know, what are egregors? They are certain energy structures that exist in the information space above you and can influence your thoughts and perception of the world.

It is because of them that we sometimes cannot break out of the hamster wheel of problems and beliefs, feel powerless “against the system,” and just can’t seem to jump to a new level of income or health.

Until very recently, knowledge about egregors was considered occult and secret, discussed only by highly advanced esotericists. Now, information about egregors has become publicly available and is widely found in psychological and spiritual literature.

Read in this article: what an egregor is, what types of egregors exist, how to live with them, and whether you can disconnect from an egregor.

What is an egregor and how does it affect a person

An egregor is an energetic and informational field that is formed from the thoughts and emotions of large groups of people united by a common idea. Simply put, an egregor is formed from beliefs.

It is believed that religious and political movements, social movements, national and geographical communities (“Christians,” “Communists,” “Greens,” “Germans,” “rural residents,” “Muscovites”) have their own egregors.

If you want to leave all the energy structures that no longer support you, but only drain your energy and put you in a place you don’t like — you need to…

There are also very small egregors, for example, of a family (clan) or a collective (a single enterprise). There are egregors of specific books, movies, and hobbies.

Essentially, the more people live and think according to similar rules, the stronger the egregor becomes, making it easier to attract new “adepts.” It can interact with human consciousness and influence it.

For example, there is an egregor of “cynics who don’t believe in energy and other nonsense.” Generally speaking, they don’t believe in egregors either. At the same time, they think in a laughably similar way, and their “community” perfectly fits the list of all egregorial qualities.

I, for example, prefer the egregor of “spiritual practices and meditations and their positive influence on life.”

Essentially, what is an egregor? It is simply a kind of collective consciousness with one bias or another. An egregor in itself is neither good nor bad. It is even somewhat useful for the people involved in it.

It can protect a person’s consciousness from chaos, as it offers simple and understandable rules for life. For example, the egregor of the “Soviet mentality” was very strong, and many people, having lost its support, lost their orientation in life. And some people continue to believe in it even now…

Signs of being inside an egregor

1. A special system of rules and beliefs

An egregore is formed when people concentrate on a single idea, and then it feeds off that same idea. This structure strives for stability within itself.

The more people accept the original idea, the stronger the egregore becomes. Special terminology, especially when it strongly differs from everyday language, only worsens the “pull.” Characteristic external signs are also possible, such as a dress code, special rituals, and so on.

You can easily recognize a deep follower of an egregore if they are broadcasting “rules of life,” “unyielding commandments,” and “the experience of our ancestors” left and right.

For many people, the connection is so strong that they simply cannot hear any opinion that differs from the egregorial one. In fact, at that moment, the egregore is speaking through their mouth.

If you manage to present reasonable and scientifically sound arguments that disrupt the “adept’s” worldview, they seem to “switch off,” and further communication becomes practically impossible.

2. There are “Us” and “Them”

Any egregore creates boundaries. There is always a division into “ours” and “not ours.”

“Ours” are always “good.” For neutral egregores, “them” are “not bad,” just “different”; their existence is usually simply ignored. There are also friendly egregores. As a rule, they are formed from a positive idea and involve people with a high level of consciousness.

For aggressive egregores, “them” are “enemies.” An information war is waged against them (which, unfortunately, sometimes escalates to physical conflict). A state of conflict pumps energy and new adherents into both egregores.

I won’t give examples; they are too hot-button right now and are actively being poured out on us through the media.

3. The Feeling of Belonging to Something Big and Strong

This is, in fact, why people get pulled into an egregore. It feels good there; there is a sense of community, a “we.” A person feels needed.

The egregore has an idea, sometimes it even explains the meaning of life. There are comrades, leaders there – in short, there is someone to go with and a direction to go. And that, you must agree, is pleasant.

In some cases, deep immersion in an egregore allows a person to shed some responsibility for their own life. The person stops speaking for themselves and starts speaking on behalf of “us.” Usually, these are banal, rehashed, and over-chewed beliefs.

For example: “We, single mothers, find it hard to get a job,” “We, country folk, are not loved by you city people, you offend us,” “Muscovites are arrogant, but we, provincials, are honest and hardworking.”

Constructive and Destructive Egregores

In reality, egregores are neither bad nor good; they are simply energy. We will conditionally divide them into constructive (creative) and destructive (destructive) based on their influence on the lives of their adherents.

Constructive Egregores:

  • Neutral or friendly toward other egregors and non-system people.
  • Free and voluntary. A person can easily join or leave them; belong to several egregors without judgment or any sanctions from other members of the egregor.
  • Provide a person with protection, information, and a community of like-minded people. But they do not deprive them of independence, personal opinion, or choice.
  • Transmit positive beliefs that improve the lives of those involved (for example, the egregor of “The Secret” gives such affirmations: “The Universe is abundant, desires come true, the Law of Attraction can give us everything we desire”).

Examples of constructive egregors include the New Age movement, many spiritual practices and some religions, sports, healthy eating, charitable societies, etc. In fact, “Keys of Mastery” can also be included in the list.

Destructive egregors:

    • Intolerant or aggressive toward other egregors and non-system people (“If you’re not with us, you’re against us”).
    • Non-voluntary (“Easy to get in, hard to get out”) or pseudo-voluntary (“Of course you can choose whether to join the party or not, but you understand…”).
    • In exchange for a sense of belonging to a common cause, they completely or partially paralyze a person’s freedom of choice and action.

Usually, breaking the rules of such egregors is punished by “public” condemnation and rejection. In extreme cases, speaking out against the system can cost a person their life or freedom.

  • Transmit beliefs that worsen the lives of “adepts,” diminishing their creative abilities, ambitions, and needs. Such egregors do not destroy people (after all, they need someone to fill them). But they ensure a life at the level of mere existence, with a meager income, everyday boredom, and occasionally allowed egregorial holidays.

For example, the “egregor of a provincial town” often transmits beliefs like: “You need to live modestly, earn money through hard work, and keep your head down; relax with TV and beer…”

I won’t give examples of destructive egregors, so as not to hurt anyone’s feelings. I think you can handle that perfectly well on your own, as there are plenty of examples from the past or modern life.

Freedom from destructive egregors. How to disconnect from an egregor

Of course, achieving complete freedom from egregors is practically impossible. Even if you remove almost all egregors, you will still remain, for example, a citizen of your country or a member of your family.

But, I believe that identifying and removing destructive egregors from your life is still necessary.

This doesn’t necessarily mean a totalitarian sect – that’s an extreme example. But there are subtle destructive egregors that can influence your life right now.

For example, the egregor of “powerless, miserable patients of a district hospital.” I remember how I myself, with enough personal development and spiritual experience, once ended up in the hospital, and within 2-3 days I had almost connected to the general background of whining and suffering.

If in your family, your environment, everyone believes that big money only belongs to thieves, that we never lived richly and never will – you’ve fallen into the “poor but proud” egregore.

Many women can fall into the “divorcée” egregore – “I am unhappy, men are jerks, there are no prospects, because that’s how everyone lives.”

And, unfortunately, very many in our country are connected to the egregore of alcoholism, or – “living with an alcoholic.”

In short, I advise you to take a sober look at your life and think about which egregores you are connected to. Feel free to share in the comments. I think we can help each other shine a light on more negative egregores and, subsequently, deal with them.

And, probably, many of you are now interested in the question – is it possible to disconnect from negative, and indeed any other unwanted egregores?

Yes, it is possible – which is good news! For this, Alena Starovoitova has developed an open master class “Reconnection”. During it, participants will be disconnected from ineffective egregores and connected to their inner strength, their Higher Self.

This is an amazing chance to find your own power, free yourself from other people’s imposed beliefs, and get off that worn-out, tiresome track. Especially since participation in the master class is free (the recording will not be made publicly available).

This is truly a wonderful time – a time of freedom from egregores! I wish you not to miss it.

All the best to you.
