Energy surrounds you everywhere.
It’s present in the cells of your body, in the food you ate for breakfast, in the people you meet on your way to work, and even in the walls of your apartment!
To maintain harmony and balance in your life, the flow of energy inside you and AROUND you must flow freely.
What’s more, it’s IMPORTANT that the space around you (including the people you constantly cross paths with) matches your inner vibration.
You can work for as long as you like on raising your own vibrations, clearing out the rubble of the past, healing your traumas, and uprooting limiting beliefs…
BUT if you come home and sink into negativity, all your work goes down the drain.
Influencing your loved ones can be difficult and takes time, but cleansing your own apartment of negativity is something anyone can do. And quickly!
How to know when you need to cleanse the energy in your home
A few of the many possible signs:
- You experience strange feelings in your home that seemingly come from “nowhere.” For example, fear, anxiety, irritability, lethargy…
- Your children are often fussy and your pets behave restlessly
- Something like poltergeist activity is observed in the apartment – unexplained knocks, creaks. Or things go missing or break for no reason.
- You find it hard to focus on your feeling of home and family. Extraneous thoughts about work, various worries, or other people’s problems keep swirling around.
- You are a very sensitive person and pick up on any energy. As soon as the balance in your home is disturbed, you feel “off”, unable to settle.
- You feel a “swamp” in your life, a block in your goals or finances. This is often a sign of energetic stagnation in the home.

How to cleanse your home of negativity and set up protection
There are many ways to cleanse the energetic space of your home. I’ll share the tools I’ve used myself at different stages of my life.
Choose the techniques that resonate most with you.
1. Deep cleaning your home
Every time you clean, you clear your home of negative energy.
Beat the rugs, wash the curtains, clean the windows, vacuum the chandelier )
Rearrange the furniture.
Before you start the deep cleaning, state your intention that you are performing an energetic cleanse of your apartment and harmonizing its energy.

2. Getting rid of clutter
Get rid of everything unnecessary, dirty, and unsightly – and you’ll immediately notice changes in your energy.
Old things you haven’t used in a long time not only accumulate negative energy but also block the flow of fresh energy.
In places where unnecessary items pile up, energy stagnates, and you observe stagnation in your life: a lack of creative inspiration, gray everyday life, and despondency.
Restore the natural flow of energy by getting rid of old clutter!
When throwing away another item or wiping away dust, clearly visualize what unwanted qualities and situations you are releasing.
3. Sea Salt for Cleansing Negativity
It helps get rid of negative energy and promotes the circulation of balanced energy within your home.
It can be used in its pure form (salt crystals) or dissolved in water.
Salt crystals have an amazing ability to absorb negative energy.
How to Cleanse Your Home of Negativity and Set Up Protection Using Salt
- Place small bowls of salt in all corners of the room (especially the room where the family gathers and where you sleep). The salt should be in an open space, not in a cupboard. Don’t forget to change the salt every 2 months.
- Sprinkle large crystals of sea salt over the carpet. After about an hour, vacuum the carpet. Be sure to throw away the vacuum cleaner dust bag.
- Make a concentrated salt solution by putting 5-6 tablespoons of salt in a bucket of water. Wash the floors in all rooms with the resulting solution.
Sea salt can also be used for balancing and cleansing yourself personally.
Take a salt bath, adding 1-2 handfuls of bath salt to the water. You can also rub yourself with salt soap (yes, it exists) to wash off the negative energy of a hard day at work.

Rubbing with salt soap or bathing in a salt bath narrows the boundaries of your etheric field, quite literally bringing you back into your body.
4. Cleansing Low Vibrations with Sound
Sound is one of the strongest vibrations, physically felt by your body.
Loud sound can effectively break up dense negative vibrations. It helps disperse stagnant energy.
How to Perform Sound Cleansing
- Walk around the perimeter of the room, clapping your hands loudly. When you reach a corner of the room, make several energetic claps, moving from bottom to top. At some point, you will hear an echo from your claps. This means you have done a quality job and can finish. After clapping, be sure to wash your hands under running water.
- Take a bell with a clear sound and ring it throughout the entire apartment — from the front door to the bathroom, paying special attention to corners and furniture (see the point above).
Hold the bell as close to the walls as possible, ringing it at intervals so that the sound does NOT break. Ring until you feel that the sound of the bell has become richer and deeper.
- Use the sound of Tibetan/crystal singing bowls to cleanse and harmonize the space.
Sit in the center of the room you intend to cleanse and play the bowl until you feel that the energy in the room has changed.
- Hang wind chimes at the entrance to your apartment. If you live in a private house, you can hang wind chimes in several places around the house to cover a larger area.
Please note: Whatever instrument you use, the sound should be pleasant to your ear.
5. Incense and essential oils for removing negativity
One of the few methods even men use ))
To cleanse a space, you can use incense sticks, aroma lamps, room sprays, or simply put a few drops of oil on a special stand and place them around the room.
You can choose an essential oil for cleansing and protection “wisely,” listening to expert advice (the infographic below will help you with this) or choose based on your own feelings and preferences.
Personally, I prefer to try them by scent )
6. Green plants for harmonizing a space
Houseplants not only provide your home with oxygen but also infuse the space with positivity, enhancing the circulation of life energy.
Many indoor flowers are protectors and donors. This means they can process negative vibrations and return them as positive emissions.
The most useful and powerful plants are considered to be geranium (harmonizes the space, protects), cactus (absorbs and neutralizes negativity), ficus (quells aggression), primrose (calms conflicts), rosemary (relaxes and promotes good sleep), cyclamen (fosters unity and understanding in the family), begonia (literally absorbs negative energy), and aloe (healer).
But! Besides plants beneficial to humans, there are also vampire plants. These are indoor flowers that drain energy from the space and the people in it.
Any plant can become a vampire if it doesn’t get enough care and nourishment. Sick, withering plants also suck out your strength. Try to nurse them back to health or get rid of them.
There are also indoor flowers whose presence in your home can be unsafe. Spiderwort causes anxiety, fern drains a lot of energy, ivy “drives” men out of the house, and is even popularly called “man-chaser.” Some types of vines create a “suffocating” atmosphere in the home.
It is dangerous to have monstera in the house. This greedy tropical plant draws energy from your household members. Its place is in public spaces where the flow of people is constantly changing.
Very bright or strongly scented flowers (roses, orchids) require a lot of your energy for care and increased attention. If you are a gentle person by nature, or energetically depleted, these plants will have a destructive effect on you.
7. Mandalas, energy paintings, and the faces of the Masters
Mandalas, energy paintings, and the faces of the Ascended Masters are not sources of energy in themselves.
They serve as channels that conduct energy through themselves.
So be careful in choosing what you hang on the wall of your bedroom.
In my time, I had Janosh energy codes, mandalas drawn especially for me by friends, and reproductions of Archangel Michael hanging on my wall.
As an illustration (from top to bottom):
The Safety mandala, made by our participant and volunteer — Maria Velichko, the Tea Party mandala — a personal gift to me from Mystic, the Protection code by Janosh, and Archangel Michael as rendered by V. Suvorov.
8. Candles for cleansing stagnant energy
Candles symbolize the element of fire. And fire is a wonderful tool for transforming energy.
It’s no coincidence that candles are used in rituals for releasing the past, healing, and religious ceremonies.

For an energetic house cleaning, it’s best to use wax candles, but any will do — even scented ones.
The procedure is similar to sound cleansing. Walk with the candle, starting from the front door and then around the perimeter of each room, clockwise.
You can linger a little longer in corners, doorways, and also in places where the candle smokes with black soot, spits wax, or crackles.
A sign that you can finish is when the candle burns calmly and steadily in every spot in your home.
After this, don’t extinguish it, but place it on your altar until it burns out on its own. This is important, as a dedication to the guardian spirits of the home.
After you have finished cleansing your apartment of negativity, you need to set up PROTECTION and fill it with high-vibration energy so that the old energy doesn’t return to the freed space.
You know the saying: Nature abhors a vacuum.
9. Energetic protection for the home
The simplest thing you can do for protection:
- Flood your apartment with purple light.
- Visualize yourself putting up an energy shield (think of Harry Potter — he did it pretty well).
- Place a barrier at the threshold of your home, through which no energy with a vibration lower than yours can pass. (This option only works for those who work on themselves and have achieved certain results.)
- Stretch a golden net over all external entry points in the home (doors, windows, balcony). The smaller the mesh size, the better.
- Place a spiritual guardian to watch over the apartment. Our grandmothers, for the same purpose, used to put an upside-down broom by the door. They say it helped…
10. Family Altar for Harmonization
An altar is a sacred place in your home that:
- cleanses, harmonizes, and stabilizes the energetic space,
- supports your spiritual development.
You can create a stationary altar that always stays in one place.
For example, on a shelf in the living room (the first one in the photo) or on a windowsill (in the old apartment there was simply no other place for it).
Or a temporary one that you set up for the duration of a specific ritual.
The altar is a witness and keeper of your intention.
Crystals on the altar can preserve and amplify your intention, turning it into a place of power. A crystal is an informational structure that holds high and ideal vibrations forever.
That’s why Tatyana Fomicheva — an amazing crystal work master, whose photos are shown below — advises strengthening and enhancing any altar with a stone or crystal.
For which stones to choose for home protection, see the 2nd article in the series: The Energy of Stones for Protecting Your Home.
Now you know how to cleanse your home of negativity and set up protection in the best possible way. Time to act!
But don’t overdo it… knowing you, I’ll say right away: it’s recommended to cleanse your apartment 1-2 times a year. That’s quite enough.
But you can nourish it with love and light every day!
