I’ll ask you directly: Do you know what makes you different from others?
About 8 billion people live on Earth, and not a single one is alike.
Even twins, who are completely identical on the outside, have differences in character.
Understanding your uniqueness — is one of the first steps toward self-knowledge and spiritual development.
But many, if not most, have no idea what is special about them… what is inherent only to them and no one else.
In this article, you will find a simple way that will help you determine how your uniqueness manifests.
The Concept of Human Uniqueness
Unique means ONE OF A KIND, unrepeatable, even exceptional in some way.
I can already see you furrowing your brows, wondering: What is so unique about me that is NOT in other people…
- Yes, I know how to cook borscht, delicious borscht. But can’t other housewives do that?!
- Yes, I charge those around me with my attitude. But I’m not alone in that either.
- Yes, I know how to love and give love not only to those close to me. But am I the only one?
How Uniqueness Manifests
4 Misconceptions
Misconception #1
When it comes to a person’s uniqueness and purpose, which are inextricably linked, you immediately try to imagine something GLOBAL!
If you’re going to love, then love with all your soul 🙂 If I am a woman, then let me be a Woman with a capital W.
The main secret of uniqueness is learning to see small facets and nuances.
In yourself and in others.
Let’s go back to the borscht analogy. How do different borscht recipes differ?
- By the composition of ingredients in it,
- By the way the vegetables are cut,
- By the emotions you put into its preparation.
For the same housewife, borscht can turn out delicious or ordinary. This difference will be its unique feature.
And it’s unlikely to be something significant. Rather, some little thing that became decisive.
It’s the same with your uniqueness: don’t aim for the big things, learn to distinguish details and focus on the little things.
It is in them that what sets you apart from the mass of other people is hidden.
Misconception #2
A person’s uniqueness is constant and does not change throughout life.
I disagree.
You change, grow, develop. And that means your unique abilities and talents change too.
Nothing stands still. Period.

Misconception #3
Uniqueness = Purpose and can only be ONE.
In every sphere of activity, in every social role you play, you can manifest your uniqueness.
I’ll say more: you MUST understand your uniqueness as a mother, daughter, wife, colleague, leader.
And when you find the answer for yourself to the question of what sets you apart from other specialists in your profession, you gain a significant competitive ADVANTAGE.
There are many doctors. But there is no one else like you. What is your «special touch»?
And so it is in any profession.
Misconception #4
Someone else knows and can tell you what your uniqueness is.
Oh, the urge to hand yourself and your life over to fortune tellers, astrologers, clairvoyants, and channelers is very strong.
I’ve had the chance to translate over 100 consultations from renowned channels… Almost every session began with the question: What is my purpose 🙂
And not once did the answer include a clear instruction: do 1-2-3 and you will fulfill your task.
On the contrary, each answer made you think and served as a push toward understanding yourself and your uniqueness.
So, we’ve sorted out the misconceptions, and now it’s time to share a method that will lay the foundation for understanding your traits and exceptional qualities.
How to Find Your Uniqueness
I suggest a very simple exercise that will help you understand how to find your uniqueness.
Survey your loved ones: What sets you apart from other people? What do they value in you?
Ask your husband, parents, children, friends, colleagues…
The more answers you gather and write down, the more food for thought you’ll have.
I’ll warn you right away: write down ALL the answers.
Most people do NOT see their uniqueness simply because they consider it natural and habitual for themselves. And therefore, they do NOT value it.
The goal of this exercise is to SEE yourself through the eyes of other people.
And then start broadcasting to the outside world everything you’ve discovered!
Expressing your uniqueness, individuality, and passion through your voice and communication will be supported by an open and balanced throat chakra.
Gentle Motivation on the Topic of Uniqueness
And finally, a dose of motivation and a gentle nudge from me in this clip from the accompanying webinar for clients:
Examples of Human Uniqueness
And to make it easier for you to formulate an answer to the question at the beginning of the article, I asked the girls from my project to share their thoughts.
Natalia Prokofieva:
I discovered relatively recently that I have a unique quality of bringing joy and lifting the mood just by being present.
Joy with a hint of naivety, or more precisely, a childlike kind of joy.
Yulia Loram:
Are we talking about our strengths and gifts that we can give to the world — what we have that others don’t? That’s still hard for me to put into words. But uniqueness I can do)))
I perceive any individuality, any living being as uniqueness. For me, it’s a set of genes, qualities, experiences — each person has their own. Like an iris or a handwriting.
Svetlana Vilkonis:
I got two answers about my uniqueness. I couldn’t define it myself either.
1 — an overly analytical mind (I’m not even sure if that’s good or bad).
2 — a strongly developed intuition.
And, it seems to me — these are two opposite qualities… strange. Maybe the uniqueness lies in the fact that these two qualities somehow coexist within me.
Olga Ludera:
And I feel this uniqueness, but I can’t quite form it into words)
For example, I can calm people down, instill confidence in them and show them a direction, how to look at their situation more positively.
And right away I have a question for myself — can this be considered uniqueness? Of course, not everyone possesses this quality, but I’m not the only one either ))
Alena Starovoitova:
I searched for the answer to this question for a long time… In the end, this is what I came up with:
I see any situation from a 30-degree angle. Which allows me to easily expand the worldview of all my readers and clients.
