New Year. New plans. New dreams.
But before you start planning, it would be helpful to determine where you are right now.
We offer you a few questions that will allow you to assess your energetic potential.
After all, to bring your intentions to life, you need to be in a resourceful state and have the strength to manifest what you envision.
21 Questions for Opening the Chakras
First Chakra, Muladhara, the Root Chakra
The root chakra interacts with dense physical matter and represents your body.
It helps you become aware of what truly exists and is present in the moment of NOW.
If you felt unsafe in childhood, any aggressive emotion can revive a feeling of UNsafety within you and pull you out of the present moment and into the past.
This is why many people prefer to follow traditions or family rules — they create an illusion of stability and safety.
The first chakra is the foundation for manifesting material things in your life.
Questions for reflection and awareness:
- How well do you get along with the world of matter?
- Are you grounded and stable, or are you “in your head”?
- Do you have a solid financial foundation?
Second Chakra, Svadhisthana, the Sacral Chakra
The sacral chakra is responsible for what your body feels and how you perceive the world around you through the physical body.
- The first chakra helps you feel safe in the solid world of matter.
- The second chakra is how you perceive this world and interact with it.
Questions for reflection and awareness:
- Where do you feel stuck or inflexible?
- Can you state what you need, and do you help others fulfill what they need?
- How well do you sense the world around you, and what are you avoiding?
Third Chakra, Manipura, the Solar Plexus Chakra
The solar plexus chakra helps you express who you are through actions.
- The first chakra provided you with a unique body and a place in the world.
- The second chakra endowed you with feelings and unique needs.
- But what you DO with your uniqueness depends on the third chakra.
Questions for reflection and awareness:
- Where do you compare yourself to others and downplay your talents and abilities?
- Name 5 of your unique talents that no one else possesses. How do you share them with others?
- What brings you into a state of deep peace?
Fourth Chakra, Anahata, the Heart Chakra
The heart chakra helps you reveal your individuality in and through relationships.
Relationships are an opportunity to express your Self, accept the uniqueness of another person, and see in them a reflection of yourself.
The fourth chakra is the center of the entire energy system, uniting the lower and higher levels of chakra consciousness.
(So don’t complain that tears flow during meditations… let your heart open, it’s for your own good!)

The fifth chakra connects the frequencies of all other chakras into a single truth that you broadcast.
(A reason to think about how much this truth corresponds to reality… yeah.)
Questions for reflection and awareness:
- Which of your needs do you constantly voice? Which ones do you prefer to stay silent about?
- How many people know you as you truly are? Not the version you tell them about, but the one looking back at you in the mirror?

Sixth chakra, Ajna, third eye chakra
The main task of the third eye chakra is to teach you to function in the world based on the memory of what has happened to you, whether it is repeating now, and how it might affect your future.
From a spiritual perspective, the 6th chakra:
- Looks upon your body (chakra 1),
- Surveys your feelings (chakra 2),
- Sees your uniqueness and individuality in the world (chakra 3),
- Observes your relationships and what they mean on every level (chakra 4),
- Creatively manages your ability to express what you know and who you are (5th chakra)
And exclaims: “Yes, I see!” Such a big-eyed one 🙂
It’s as if you are looking at yourself from a great height and seeing a comprehensive perspective of your life.

Questions for reflection and awareness:

- How much time do you spend going back to the past or running into the future?
- How much control do you have over your present, and how are you creating your future?
Seventh chakra, Sahasrara, crown chakra
The crown chakra demonstrates to your mind, body, and emotions the limitless possibilities that are present in your life.
- Boundless wisdom and potentials flow into the seventh chakra and pour their light into the sixth chakra, which helps you see more clearly your place and role in this world.
- When wisdom and boundless potentials reach the fifth chakra, you gain the ability to say: “Yes, this is exactly where I am” or “No, I am completely different.”
- This allows you to gain a deeper understanding of what you attract into your relationships in the fourth chakra.
- When boundless possibilities reach the third chakra, you realize that there are countless ways who you can be at any given moment.
- When boundless possibilities enter the second chakra, you awaken to the world of sensuality, to what you love feeling like in all your expressions.
- Finally, boundless possibilities descend into the first chakra and into the body, and you comprehend the possibilities of your body through wisdom, not limiting beliefs.
The seventh chakra opens and awakens all the other chakras.
