Instructions for closing out loose ends, or what you need to get done before the New Year

Congratulating each other on the New Year, we wish that everything old stays in the outgoing year, and that new joyful events come into our lives instead.

But it’s not enough to just say it, you need to create the conditions — clear the space to attract these new favorable circumstances.

That’s why we’ve written instructions for closing loose ends, which is suitable for use before the New Year, before your Birthday, and before the Planetary New Year.

Spend the remaining month of the year productively and sum up the year’s results.

Summing Up the Year. Instructions

We don’t advise going into the New Year with a large number of unfinished tasks. This burden will only hinder you from creating a new happy reality.

The following recommendations will help you put your affairs in order, deal with small matters and old problems, so you can focus on new intentions.

Organize Your Tasks and Plans

You probably have a to-do list, written by hand in a notebook or as notes on your phone. If you use a task planner, it simplifies the task.

If you don’t write down the issues you plan to resolve but keep everything in your head, I advise you to get a planner that syncs with all your devices (computer, laptop, tablet, phone). The choice is vast.

Check Tasks for Relevance

Review your to-do list. What is still relevant to you, and what no longer requires your attention?

Anything outdated: plans, ideas that no longer interest you, delete them painlessly.

Review your list of unread books and unwatched movies. Are there any among them that no longer interest you, and you definitely don’t plan to read or watch in the coming year?

If there are, boldly cross them off your list of unfinished tasks — into a new life with a clean slate.

Realizing you have a ton of unfinished tasks leads to despondency and depression, a feeling of being a failure, because you have to focus on the “unfinished business.”

And they drain your energy.

But don’t force yourself to close loose ends either.

See what can be delegated, and in some cases, just make a decision and tell yourself: “This issue, book, movie, idea no longer interests me. I am closing this task.”

You stop mentally returning to it, freeing up energy for new plans.

Break Complex Tasks into Stages

If it’s a long-term task, break it down into stages, completing some of them in the old year and moving the rest into the new one as new plans.

For example, learning a foreign language. This is more of a process than a goal. You can’t say exactly when you’ll finish learning the language. Knowledge and communication skills can be constantly improved.

Divide such a task into stages:

  • watching a movie in a foreign language,
  • studying the translation of a favorite song,
  • completing assignments from a language learning course.

How to work with ideas. Reading a list made several months ago, you might find that you’ve lost the understanding of some ideas, the meaning is gone.

You don’t remember at all what this is about or why you wrote it down. Delete it. And in the future, write down incoming thoughts in more detail.

Turn to those of them that currently resonate with you, and take at least one step towards their realization.

You won’t be able to close all your tasks anyway, but the beginning will be made. You will ensure that there is no stagnation of energy, both in your affairs and in your thoughts.

Set aside time to close out current tasks

Set aside a specific time each day for wrapping up the year. But do it in a way that it doesn’t turn into an “obligation,” otherwise resistance will arise.

Choose what resonates with you at the moment, and do it.

Each of us has a number of tasks that need to be done, but we constantly put them off: dealing with a problem, getting treatment.

Try not to run away, but to understand why you are avoiding solving the issue.

Many claim they don’t have enough time. In reality, this is an excuse. Extra time won’t appear until you set it aside to solve your task.

Get rid of old things

Italians traditionally throw away old things, dishes, and furniture before the New Year.

Who’s stopping you from doing the same? Especially since this is a good time for new purchases. Before the New Year, stores have promotions, great deals, and pre-holiday discounts.

So if you’ve been wanting to replace your microwave for a long time, you’ll kill two birds with one stone: you’ll get rid of the old thing and buy a new one. After all, you deserve the best.

Often, appliances break down before the New Year. This indicates that new energy is entering the planet, literally pushing out old things.

Forgive your offenders

If you are in a quarrel with someone, don’t delay in clearing things up. Forgive everyone you haven’t forgiven yet. Leave the past in the past.

If you can’t bring yourself to have an important conversation, don’t put it off, don’t take this problem into the new year.

Of course, you won’t be able to forgive at the snap of a finger, but the healing process will begin. Your mere desire will be enough to start the flow of forgiveness energy — an energy of a higher vibration.

In the new year, you will see the world differently.

And the fewer tasks, burdens of the past, and unfinished business you have in your life’s baggage, the easier it will be for you to build a new life, attract blessings, favorable events, and the right people into it.

Focus on new plans

Before the New Year, note down the tasks you’ve completed, praise yourself for the work you’ve done, and sum up the year’s results.

Don’t forget about new plans, ideas, and intentions either. Think about what you would like to attract into your life in 2026.
