This article is for those who have recently started practicing meditation to find harmony, improve their lives, and still do not know how to relax.
We offer several recipes that will help you get to know yourself better, learn to trust your feelings, and easily enter a meditative state.
Readers, participants of group meditations, and paid courses often write to us that they cannot complete a meditation on their own.
Some cannot relax and deeply immerse themselves in a meditative state.
There are various reasons for this, such as a lack of meditation experience, or an inability to relax due to an overly active mind.
All practices on the Keys of Mastery project are structured so that every person can and should complete them without the help of a third party, a meditation guide.
For the first time, it is necessary to go through the meditation with a guide to remember its outline, and subsequent times you go through it from memory on your own.
This is necessary so that you focus on your personal feelings and images. This way, the effect of the meditation will be even stronger.
Therefore, if you have little experience and find it difficult to complete a meditation on your own, regularly use these relaxation methods.
And over time, you will learn to enter a meditative state and get the maximum benefit from the practices.
How to learn to relax
1. Use the morning minutes of awakening, the evening ones — before falling asleep
The morning right after waking up and the evening — on the verge of falling asleep — is a valuable time for tuning into the vibrations of your soul.
This is a natural state when you automatically enter a trance. In this way, you can directly receive answers from your spiritual guides, as well as enter meditation.
We also suggest studying the articles How a Proper Start to the Day Can Change Your Life and How to Properly End the Day to Manage Your Life. There you will find a full list of practices and ideas on how to use morning and evening time for your benefit.
2. Listen to Relaxing Music
A good way to enter a meditative state is to listen to relaxing music.
For this, use mantras, for example, performed by Deva Premal, listen to Robert Coxon and other performers who resonate with you, and most importantly, will help you relax.
Here is something from our collection of mantras: Balancing the Masculine and Feminine with Mantras.
3. Allow Yourself to Be Alone with Yourself
Be sure to set aside a few minutes each day to be with yourself. But not to solve any tasks, but simply to sit, listening to what is happening inside you.
Ask yourself questions: what do you want right now, what will help you feel more joy, happiness, pleasure.
These valuable minutes of communicating with yourself will replace a huge number of actions that you sometimes perform without thinking about what you actually need them for.
Solitude is focusing on what is important in your life, and of course, it will help you learn to relax.
You will learn more about the need for solitude from the Live Broadcast Cycle “Cosmic Laws”. Register and listen to the recordings of all the laws we have already covered.
4. Concentrate on physical sensations
Learn to engage all your senses. When you take a shower, be in the present moment and observe your sensations. If you look at the sea, listen to the sound of the waves. Drink tea, pay attention to the taste and think of nothing else.
Learn to concentrate on physical sensations during various activities.
In meditation, also pay attention to your sensations when you pass energy flows up and down through your body.
Gradually, your trust in yourself and your sensations will increase.
