Bad habits and excess weight. What makes it difficult to break free, and how to do it in harmony with yourself.

What do people usually do when they want to get rid of a bad habit or excess weight?

For example, if it’s smoking, they put on a special patch, stop smoking, and try to overcome the urge to light up.

If it’s excess weight, they go on a diet, or eliminate foods that contribute to weight gain from their diet, and start doing some exercises.

Direct methods don’t always work, and they aren’t always enough on their own.

Because it’s hard to force the physical body to rewrite habits. There is muscle memory and many processes connected to the neurons of the brain. And they force you to stay on the familiar track.

I have developed my own method that helps change some habits. Perhaps it will work for you too.

Catch the moment

There are people who can quit smoking once and for all by sheer willpower. And no matter how hard it is for them, they will not pick up a cigarette under any circumstances.

There are usually not many such people. In my own case, for example, I used the moment when my body felt as if filled with smoke after hanging out with friends and a hookah.

I felt that I had smoked too much and didn’t want any more, and thus caught the impulse to quit smoking. At first, I didn’t feel like smoking, and this created a kind of detox period from smoking. And then I simply didn’t start again.

You can’t fool our body; many acquired reflexes persist for years, and retraining it takes a very long time. Therefore, such a natural method, an impulse, if you catch it, can help you.

The same thing happened with weight. Three years ago, I gained weight, and it stayed on. In the fall, on a wave of emotions, my need to eat shut off. I caught that moment and simply incorporated the diet that had long been recommended to me.

We often don’t even realize we are addicted to a particular product, such as coffee or sweets. It’s simple to determine. If you can easily do without it, then there is no addiction.

But if you feel discomfort from not being able, for example, to eat a pastry right now, drink coffee (physically unable to buy it, for instance), this indicates the presence of an addiction.

Therefore, first — catch the moment, second — maintain the detox until the discomfort passes.

Vibration level and physical habits. Alcohol and smoking from an energetic perspective

If we talk about raising vibrations, can this somehow contribute to turning off or turning on certain habits?

After all, it would be wonderful if, with an increase in vibrations, bad habits and excess weight disappeared, and useful ones appeared by themselves.

Here the process works exactly the opposite. Until you turn off the habits, your vibrational level will not change.

What are smoking and alcohol from an energetic perspective? Consuming alcohol, smoking (to a lesser extent) — is an energy drain. Alexander Palienko constantly talks about this.

For example, you start looking for new information on a specific topic. It is assumed that you take exactly as much new information as you will apply in life, that is, go and do it.

But most people get stuck on YouTube, on various sites, streams, do nothing afterwards, and an excess arises.

In other words, you sent some impulse, an intention, and energy came to you for this purpose, but instead of realizing it, processing it into action, you do nothing, and it begins to destroy the body.

And then, to avoid being destroyed, you drain it into alcohol, smoking. Of course, this happens unconsciously. The body saves itself from destruction in this way — it tries to drain this energy.

Try to catch yourself on this impulse. If at that moment you consciously think — what am I sitting here for, I need to get moving, — and switch to a targeted action instead of smoking or alcohol, you will be able to track this habit and easily eliminate it.

Easily, of course, is in quotes, because you need to learn to track such moments repeatedly, gradually introducing new actions into life, applying the information you receive at least 20%.

Excess weight. Why it is so hard to lose weight

There are many books on psychosomatics that explain the meaning of excess weight from different angles. In my understanding, excess weight is a fear of parting with the old, the obsolete.

You can, of course, work on the level of nutrition and exercise, but often this is not enough.

Here, the primary thing will be putting your thoughts in order. First — accepting yourself, your body as it is now, working with what prevents you from letting go of the past, and changing your diet and everything else will be the second step.

Because if you hold on to the old, categorically refuse to change, to let something new in, your body will protect you. Excess weight will be a kind of buffer.

And it will be difficult to lose weight until you restructure your worldview.
