The illusion of safety. What can help you find peace.

How often do you feel anxiety about loved ones, about yourself, about what is happening in the world?

You are looking for a solution, thinking about what needs to be done to be protected, to be safe always.

But is there such a way? Yes and no.

In this article, we will tell you why safety is an illusion, and what will help you find peace in a changing world, as well as in any situation.

Why safety is an illusion

Safety is an inner state, not a location in some static, favorable conditions.

It is impossible to find freedom and peace outside of yourself. Truth lives within, and all answers live within you. Your soul is also within you, and with it, the feeling of safety.

We live in an era of change. And the only constant is change. You need to get used to this and accept it as a given.

As soon as you become attached to places, things, people, you start to think it will always be this way. And any change can knock the ground out from under your feet. But everything changes.

You cannot control what happens externally, but your inner state is within your power. Remember that the outer world is a reflection of your inner world.

And what is inside you will determine how your reality unfolds.

The sooner you disconnect from external sources, from what surrounds you, the easier it is to find peace. Some people need more time for this, others less. But the opportunity exists for everyone.

When panic rises, awareness shuts off

Panic is an emotion that has the power to “infect” other people. One person bringing in panic can instantly infect a large number of people.

And then people’s awareness shuts off, the survival instinct kicks in, the reptilian brain screams: “RUN!”

Everything darkest, scariest, and unacknowledged rises to the surface of consciousness, even things that were long resolved.

And you can only calm a person mentally if they are ready to listen.

The task of aware people and those who consider themselves rays of Light is to find inner peace and become a transmitter for harmonizing the space around.

What will help you find an inner sense of safety

1. Learn not to fall into a state of panic and worry

How can you help yourself? Initially, do not allow yourself to fall into it.

It doesn’t matter what happened: a global crisis, problems with loved ones, illnesses…

If you yourself are in a state of anxiety or panic, you will not be able to transmit anything outward except this. You will not be able to help your loved ones or yourself.

First and foremost, return to balance, restore your vertical alignment, and take care that your heart is open.

For this, you need your suitcase of spiritual tools. We have gathered material with practices for any occasion. Use it.

2. Accept the current situation as it is

Realistically assess the situation based on the present moment. What do you have right now: Are you healthy? Do you have a roof over your head? Do you have food to feed your children?

Is the situation really as terrible as your frightened mind makes it out to be?

What can you change, what can you not, and how can you adapt to the situation with minimal losses (or no losses at all)?

Only from a state of acceptance and awareness can you move forward. Only in such a state do the right decisions come.

Go through the meditation “My Safety,” the goal of which is to strengthen the feeling of safety within you.

3. Anchor Yourself in the Present

Fears are always connected either to the future or to the past. Therefore, the main task is to anchor yourself in the present.

Of course, you want to know how everything will turn out. That is a normal desire. But you cannot control or manage the future.

The only thing you can do is manage the moment “here and now,” what you are experiencing today.

So, in those moments when your mind tries to slip into the future or starts scaring you with horror stories from the past, it is critically important to bring yourself back to the now.

Anchoring yourself in the “here and now” will allow you to:

  • bring back into the now your own energy, which you directed into the future;
  • unblock and free the survival center (the first chakra) from fears; regain the ability to act. After all, a surge of negative emotions blocks the chakra of movement and being in the flow (the second chakra).

4. Give Thanks for Each New Day

Start your day with gratitude and end it with gratitude.

Gratitude is the only “currency” that will help you avoid slipping into a non-existent future, and therefore, avoid sinking into fears.

Tirelessly seek out what you can be grateful for today.

5. Switch Your Focus from the Global to the Individual, from the Future to the Present

To switch from the “global” to the “individual,” ask yourself: “How does this concern me right now?”

If a “global” change does not affect you right now, let it go.

Again and again, in any situation, bring yourself back to the “here and now.”

In this way, you switch yourself from the “we”/”global” mode (where you have no ability to control or manage the situation) to the “I”/”today” mode (where you have the opportunity to manage your reality).

6. Do Not Immerse Yourself in Others’ Negativity

Take measures to avoid diving into others’ negativity. Treat this as a “survival” task.

Tirelessly seek ways to please yourself.

Solve issues at the moment they arise (no sooner and no later), under the conditions that will be relevant at that moment.

Likewise, avoid immersing yourself in the past, regretting what you didn’t manage to do in your time.

And again, anchor yourself in the “here and now,” returning to a state of flow.

Only by being in a state of flow can you handle all of life’s tasks – easily and gracefully.
