There are churches you walk into and feel reverence, a positive, light energy, while in others you feel nothing or, on the contrary, you start to feel unwell.
The same goes for icons; there are those considered wonder-working, they hold some kind of power, an energy.
Read the article to find out what the energy in churches depends on.
The Energy Radiated from Icons
There are icons that are considered wonder-working. Someone who understands how energy works and interacts knows that it’s not about a miracle, not that the icon performs miracles, but that a powerful stream of energy emanates from it.
I once traveled to Veliky Novgorod; there’s a wonder-working icon in a cathedral there. A mother of a terminally ill girl asked me to buy a small icon and charge it there.
I found a small icon with the girl’s name and went to the church where the wonder-working icon is. But since I’m not particularly religious, I didn’t know how to charge it. I approached the icon and pressed the small icon against it, and I got an electric shock.
My mind’s first thought was: “it’s probably wonder-working, so it’s under an alarm system, electrified, so people won’t lean on it or touch it.” It was only later that I looked at it from an energetic perspective.
But at the time, I walked around for a long time in complete shock from what had happened.
I also had colleagues from work at school who observed certain religious traditions. They had very old icons hanging, as is proper, in the red corner of their home. When you entered that apartment, your gaze would immediately turn there because you could feel a powerful stream of energy coming from that spot.
Speaking of churches, in some there is no energy at all, while in others there’s simply an old icon hanging, passed down from hand to hand, and you feel that powerful stream of energy.

The Energy in Churches and Monasteries
When I started studying how energy interacts, I realized that the most powerful place in a temple is under the dome. I even created a whole ceremony for myself to connect with my guides and guardian angels.
Churches aren’t built in that particular shape for nothing; there’s a specific mechanics, specific geometric proportions according to which a temple is built. Even scientists can’t explain it. It’s very ancient knowledge, an art.
Many similar things were embedded everywhere, but over time many different distortions appeared, and only the ritual part remained. But temples still exist where these icons are, the ones you feel drawn to approach.
On the other hand, it wouldn’t be right to say that there is no energy in some temples at all, because we feel vibrations only up to a certain point. When a vibration is on the same level as us, we stop feeling it.
But you can feel vibrations that are higher than you or very low. So if you don’t feel something, it doesn’t mean the vibration or energy isn’t there.
The energy of a temple or holy place also depends on the priest. There are those who truly serve as personal spiritual guides; they are few and far between, these are truly bright people who preach love and goodness.
There are incredible places, like monasteries, where the sensations are completely different because people retreat from worldly life for many years. Their brains start working differently, and their consciousness becomes entirely different. Accordingly, they can shape the overall energy of the monastery. When you go there, you pick up on it.

Why you feel unwell in churches
In my youth, I used to feel unwell in churches. A long time ago, I stood through a service for some holiday along with everyone else, and I came out with a temperature of 38°C (100.4°F). This happened more than once. What do you think the priest said about it? That I have too many demons inside me.
But in reality, one of the reasons you feel unwell in church is the so-called “holy” old ladies at the entrance, who are ready to curse you out or scold you if, in their opinion, you’re not following some rules. You’ve probably noticed how they behave — they lash out at everyone, get angry, and God forbid you came in without a skirt or made a misstep. This is the main problem: if you’re not with us, you’re against us.
Another reason you might feel bad in church is your empathy, sensitivity to energy or emotions.
What do people usually bring to church? Their grief, resentments, grievances, and unforgiveness. That’s a huge spectrum of negative emotions. Imagine everyone standing there asking: “me-me-me,” “give me,” “more money, health, happiness, wealth.” And all these requests come from a place of lack — there’s very little positive energy there. What will you feel in a crowd of such people?
Or when someone has sinned, they run to church to confess or take communion. They receive absolution and then run off to go about their business.
