Stages of consciousness development: Victim — Warrior — Creator

There are many different models describing the levels of human consciousness development. One of the simplest and most figurative is the model whose levels are conventionally designated by the concepts – Victim, Warrior (Hero), Creator.

You can understand how and in what ways the stages of this system differ, and at what level a person is, by several criteria:

  1. level of responsibility for one’s life;
  2. level of energy;
  3. level of self-sufficiency;
  4. level of labor and creativity;
  5. level of needs.

Let’s look at how representatives of each stage of consciousness go through these levels.

Human consciousness development at different levels

1. The development process at the level of responsibility for one’s life

The main quality of the victim is unwillingness to take responsibility.

The victim believes that nothing ever depends on them, and everything that happens in their life occurs by the will of higher powers, Fate, other people, or under the influence of external circumstances.

Therefore, the main position of the victim is waiting for mercy from God and favor from destiny. They have no choice but to accept what happens to them, while whining and complaining.

In general, life just “happens” to the victim…

The Warrior-Hero already understands that “a rolling stone gathers no moss,” and that much in life depends on them and their actions.

They try to actively influence their reality. At the same time, especially at the beginning of the journey, if the results of their actions suit them, they tend to attribute the merits to themselves.

If not, they may shift responsibility for what happened to them onto external circumstances.

The Creator has 100% responsibility for their life.

He understands that everything happening in his reality was somehow created by himself, and if something doesn’t suit him, there is always an opportunity to recreate it, taking into account previous experience.

2. Development of Consciousness at the Energy Level

The Victim has very little energy, as their inner strength is suppressed and blocked by fears. This is passive feminine energy, regardless of the victim’s gender, and it is only enough to maintain a basic level of life.

In principle, the victim has their own task in this regard – they accumulate energy, storing up their pain, fears, and dissatisfaction, until all of this reaches a critical mass, and this limit forces the victim to move to the next level.

The Warrior’s energy has an active masculine principle.

It awakens when the victim-person overcomes their fears, old habits, and beliefs; defends their rights, their territory, resisting the old environment, which does not always accept such a transformation.

Energy can arrive in powerful bursts, along with which a lot of blocked aggression comes out. And the newly-minted Hero does not always manage to control it.

This is reminiscent of when a dam is removed from a river’s path, and the Hero can sometimes be “carried away” by the turbulent current.

The Creator has a lot of energy, and it resembles a deep, full-flowing river that calmly flows its own course.

This is the energy of the Tao, and the Creator directs its excess towards creativity.

He uses both sides of this energy, the masculine, creating in the external world through active transformations, and the feminine, when to materialize what he desires, it is enough for him to simply wish it correctly.

3. Development of consciousness at the level of self-sufficiency

Since the Victim has little energy, they try to increase it through merging with another person.

For the victim, loneliness is painful; they can only endure it for a short time. Then, feeling incomplete, they rush to fill the resulting void with someone.

The Victim’s relationships are relationships of dependence.

The Hero’s attitude towards self-sufficiency is ambiguous. On one hand, they have developed independence, or they strive for it; on the other hand, recognition is important to them. And you can’t do without society for that…

The Creator is completely self-sufficient and whole. They can remain alone for as long as necessary without experiencing any discomfort.

They are independent of others and build their relationships with people not out of need, but based on a desire to share and give.

4. Development of consciousness at the level of labor and creativity

The Victim, as a rule, chooses hired, simple, and monotonous work, does not like to make decisions, take responsibility, or show initiative.

They feel calmer following the instructions of superiors.

The Warrior chooses an area to apply their merits and ambitions.

The Creator’s realm of creativity is their consciousness. They work not for money or recognition, but from a pure desire to create.

5. Evolution of consciousness at the level of needs

The victim’s actions are aimed at surviving in such a dangerous and unpredictable world and saving up a nest egg for a rainy day.

They are filled with fears about life, afraid of and resistant to change. What if it gets worse!

The warrior’s efforts are directed toward success, toward improving their standard of living and fulfilling their ambitions, that is, proving something to someone, winning, achieving, conquering…

The Creator’s needs lie not only on the external plane but also on the spiritual one. This includes self-knowledge, fulfilling one’s destiny, and discovering the Divine principle within oneself.

Using this system, it is easy to diagnose what stage of the journey a person is at, as well as to clearly see which area of life is lagging behind and where to direct one’s attention and energy.

The Victim’s task is to transform into their antipode – the Warrior.

This will happen when they get tired of suffering and decide to take responsibility; begin to solve their own problems instead of waiting for others to do it; become aware of their feelings, desires, and needs, and learn to express them openly.

That is, when they gradually turn their thinking and behavior patterns one hundred and eighty degrees.

A Warrior transforms into a Creator when he loses interest in proving something to someone, seeking recognition, testing his own strength, and remaking the world. He learns to create it…

Every Victim is a future Creator; it is only important to find the strength and courage within yourself to start moving forward.
