How to find a passion. Collective mindset and generational conflict.

Previously, people sought to stay in one job, in one field; the longer the professional experience, the more prestigious it was.

Currently, a clear trend is observed where people change their activities and professions every few years.

And if earlier such changes were considered somewhat abnormal, now there are more and more people searching for an activity they truly enjoy.

How can a person who constantly switches between different things find their calling? Let’s talk about the thinking paradigms of generations in the context of self-realization.

Collective thinking paradigm and generational conflict

The “work hard” paradigm

Generations of people differ from each other in their thinking paradigm.

Depending on which generation a person belongs to, their choices will be influenced to some extent by the thinking paradigm of their generation.

For example, one of the common beliefs of the past thinking paradigm is work hard, and you will prosper.

Thus, in Soviet times, it was necessary to finish school, (if one wanted) study at an institute, upon graduation from which one received an assignment to a specific workplace.

All of life was scheduled, structured, predictable, and stable.

The task of a person in those times was to follow a predetermined scenario in a timely manner (“do as everyone does,” “work hard”).

Under the conditions of the old paradigm, the “work hard” program was indeed effective.

The “work smart” paradigm

The next generation brought a new paradigm into life – work smart.

The consequence of focusing on the intellectual principle was practically “mandatory” higher education and higher pay for mental labor.

However, after the economic crisis of the late 20th century, intellectual labor, as well as having a higher education, became devalued.

Each generation has its own paradigm of thinking, which differs from the collective “operating system” of another generation.

Children come into this world initially with a worldview different from that of their parents.

As they grow up, this new worldview seeps into the existing paradigm of thinking, changing it.

The “work with passion” paradigm

In the current time, the motto is rather this — work with passion, for pleasure.

Here is what Steve Rother and the Group say about this in the book “So, I Am God. What’s Next? Questions and Answers”:

“There is only one secret to achieving success in the higher vibrations of the New Planet Earth: your success in all areas, including money, is directly proportional to the joy and passion you experience every day of your life.

Just understand that in the time of your grandparents, the rule about work was: ‘Work as hard as you can.’ And in the low vibrations of that time, it indeed yielded positive results.

Then came the time of your parents, and the rule changed, turning into ‘Work smart.’ Then the rhythm accelerated, and creations began to manifest faster than ever before. Today, when you try to apply those paradigms, neither of them bears fruit.

Today’s rule about work is: “Work with passion,” and real results come when you do what you love most.

Throughout the ages, people seek their true calling, want to fulfill themselves in life, and engage in work that inspires while also benefiting this world.

How and why the generation gap is born

Conscious parenting implies that parents strive to grow in their worldview together with their children in order to align with the new paradigm of thinking.

3-D parents, on the contrary, believe that their point of view is the only correct one and see their task as teaching their children “how to live.”

It is precisely from this 3-D approach that the notorious generation gap, well described in classical literature, is born.

The generation gap arises from the fact that each generation comes with a different energy, a different set of tasks, and a correspondingly different set of tools to solve those tasks.

If a person does not develop and constantly update their operating system, they risk becoming an outsider, as they begin to fall out of the updated collective trend.

One can be above the system—not inscribed within it.

In this case, you accept that as a person, you owe nothing to the system, and the system simultaneously owes you nothing.

That is, the person and the system are in no way dependent on each other.

If a person is not ready to accept such a mutually independent approach, they are automatically forced to develop together with the system in order to match it.

The vibrations of planet Earth are steadily increasing, regardless of what choices (to develop or not to develop) a particular person makes.

People who do not choose to grow along with the planet’s vibrations will depart.

How to find a calling

One lifelong career in the conditions of the New Earth

If you belong to the Indigo generation, you will not be able to find an activity that will constantly interest you.

With the arrival of the generation of Indigo children, it has become clearer that a person cannot stay in one place for a long time or engage in the same type of activity.

Two to three years is the average period that allows you to feel a new interest.

If you start your own business and run a personal enterprise, you will not be able to change your interest with such frequency, as promoting your business requires many years of dedication.

In these cases, it makes sense for you to partner with other people, for example, with those who are older or with good executors who prefer “mechanical” activities to maintain an established business system.

This approach will allow you to free up time to explore new interests.

Some people can sit in one place for a long time, others cannot.

But if you try to force yourself into frameworks that are not natural for you (for example, spending a long time doing something you have long lost interest in), you are thereby destroying yourself.

The Similarity Between the Principles of Searching for a New Job and Relationships

Sometimes, before a long-overdue change of activity, there comes a period of silence, intended for being alone with yourself and making a decision.

The same principle that applies to relationships can be applied to finding a fulfilling activity.

New relationships can arise according to the “trauma to trauma” pattern, when people meet to jointly work through personal traumas.

Having gone through such a relationship, a person may again choose the same “trauma to trauma” scenario, realize, work through, and transform their traumatized parts, after which they enter new healing relationships and build them on a new level.

Read more about these types of relationships in the article Three Types of Relationships. Do Ideal Relationships Exist.

The choice of which path to prefer depends on the person’s level of awareness.

The same approach can be applied to finding a job (activity).

If you choose the conscious path (having left a relationship with an employer), you clearly understand what did not suit you, you set aside time to rethink the situation, gather your strength, and determine new selection criteria.

This stage can develop while you are still working at your old job, or it can proceed autonomously—after leaving the job. Sometimes, a new job appears immediately as soon as the decision to part with the old one is made.

The main criterion regarding the “suitability” of a particular job for you is your sense of your own worth. It determines how much the content of the activity, working conditions, and pay correspond to your current level of self-worth.

It is an illusion to think that in another country, the same work pays more.

Speed and efficiency (effectiveness) of work are evaluation criteria.

If you are ready to attract a new job into your life, your connection with the old job requires completion, for example, at the level of decision and intention.

On one hand, formally quitting an old job when you are internally not ready to accept a new one is merely an external form.

On the other hand, when you do not quit your old job under the pretext of “until I find a new one,” you are driven by doubt, lack of confidence in yourself and your decision, and a need for security. With this approach, growth and a leap in development are impossible.

The need to ensure security and stability for yourself is an illusion that hinders development.

Stability and security keep a person at a point of non-development, or more precisely, they are conditions for their involution.

Determine your motive – what drives you.

When it seems to you that you cannot find a job at a new level, check yourself for a sense of internal alignment. Perhaps you believe that you are unworthy of a job at this level.

And have you already changed your profession in your life? How many times and how radically compared to your original activity?
