Our life is what we think. And what we think is what we read. If you want to think constructively, choose to read positive books that change consciousness.
But! You want to know what exactly to read?!
Stores and online resources offer hundreds and thousands of books on self-development, esotericism, spirituality…

- Which books will be both interesting and maximally effective?
- And, most importantly – where to start?
We reached out to the readers and volunteers of the “Keys of Mastery” project to choose their favorite books that changed their lives at the very beginning of the Path.
Through a challenging selection process, we compiled a list of the best “advancing” literature according to members of our community.
We repeat – these are books for beginner and intermediate levels.
If you’ve been practicing for a long time, you probably won’t find anything new here.
However, you might want to reread something and feel nostalgic. Also, expect a continuation of the article, where we will talk about the best advanced spiritual literature.

2. Eckhart Tolle “The Power of Now”
The book was born from the author’s personal spiritual experience, having reached the final edge of despair at some point in his life.
His spiritual awakening was a thought so simple and yet so complex: “All our suffering is caused by the restless mind, with its chaotic stream of thoughts, regrets about the past, and worries about the future.
True happiness is the state of presence, when your attention is completely focused on the moment of Now.”
To understand this, it’s not enough to read this book. You will live in it…
3. Osho “Life and Death”
The only way to understand life is to accept death. We don’t like to talk about this topic, but each of us regularly thinks about it.
The fear of death makes us timid, limited, and constricted. Accepting and understanding death makes us free.
Float along the waves of thought of the greatest philosopher and mystic Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho) and attain the mindset of immortality…
4. Colin Tipping “Radical Forgiveness”
This is a book about everyone and for everyone.
No matter how difficult your life has been, no matter how much grief you have experienced – you can free yourself from it at any moment and live happily. The recipe for this is Radical Forgiveness.
The author views forgiveness not just as a psychological act, but as a spiritual tool that raises the vibrations of your life (and, ultimately, of the entire planet).
5. Alexander Sviyash “Reasonable World. How to Live Without Unnecessary Worries”
This book is called “the rules of the road for life.”
If you consider your world a set of chaotic coincidences, all that’s left is to resent fate and suffer.
But in a reasonable world, life is easy and pleasant – provided you are a reasonable person.
The book is logically and clearly structured and is strictly practical.
Many original techniques have been refined at the author’s trainings and seminars. This is a case where you can learn from others’ mistakes.
Follow the signs and move towards your goal!
Wish Fulfillment
6. Rhonda Byrne “The Secret”

The Russian “Secret,” “mystical quantum mechanics.” It will especially appeal to people with a technical mindset.
Transurfing is gliding along the life lines of a multi-variant Universe.
Which branch you end up on depends on you, your knowledge, and your will.
The author, for his part, generously shares the tools and basic principles of such a complex mechanism as conscious life management.
Attention! After reading, you will think in “slides” and see “pendulums” everywhere for a while.

9. Mirzakarim Norbekov “The Experience of a Fool, or the Key to Insight”
This book can make you laugh, shock you with its bold authorial style, can make you angry or delight you…
It simply cannot leave you indifferent (just like its several million readers).
Eastern parables, inimitable humor, modern scientific discoveries, and mystical revelations – all in one bottle, and “shake it up a bit.”
Joint gymnastics and eye exercises provide real results with regular and diligent practice.
But the book, in reality, doesn’t heal your vision, but your life.
And by the way. Do you have any acquaintances who are vampirized peacock-like alligators?
10. Louise Hay “Heal Your Body”
A best-selling book worldwide and in Russia.
The author is a woman with a difficult destiny and extraordinary strength of spirit, who healed herself from cancer and revealed the secret of the connection between your consciousness and health.

The Human Energy System
11. Anodea Judith “Chakras: An Encyclopedia for Beginners”
Have you heard something about chakras but don’t know what they are or how they work?
Are you already well-informed about chakras and want to effectively use this knowledge to improve your life?
Either way, the book “Chakras” will come in handy.
It clearly and plainly describes all human energy centers, their connection to the most important areas of life, activation techniques, and meditations.

You probably have some information about the structure of the human energy system. But how do you apply this knowledge in real, everyday life?!
12. Mark Rich “Energy Anatomy”
The author of the book is a clairvoyant who has perceived the structure of the human energy system since childhood.
The book presents an original view of our energy structure (for example, the core as the foundation of life, cone-chakras, layers…) and the use of this knowledge for healing life.
This is truly unique practical information.
Perhaps this book is your chance to look at how everything inside us is arranged from a completely new angle…
Fiction
13. Richard Bach “Illusions”
This small book possesses piercing sincerity and depth. What is it about?
It’s hard to be a god – yes. It’s hard to be a human – yes. Being both God and human – is magical.
You can part clouds with your gaze, but never learn to bake flatbreads…
And one more thing.
After reading this book, you will most likely find and read all of Richard Bach’s remaining books (just like I did)…
14. Concordia Antarova “Two Lives”
Unlike Bach’s small book, “Two Lives” is impressive in its volume (4 volumes!).
But don’t let that scare you – this book has been devoured by more than one generation of truth seekers…
You will embark on a journey of discovery alongside the book’s hero, Levushka (a nod to Leo Tolstoy) and his Spiritual Teachers, asking the big questions with him and finding your own answers.
Opinions on this work are diametrically opposed.
Some call the book “sectarian and outdated,” while others call it “the most important book in the lives of those who encounter it.”
It’s curious how this book will reveal itself to you, isn’t it?
15. Finn “Hello, Mr. God, This is Anna”
Be sure to read this book to your child or to your Inner Child.
It’s about a five-year-old girl, as wise and sincere as only children can be.
This book will turn your world upside down. You will laugh until you cry, you will smile tenderly, and you will sob your heart out.
In my opinion, this book is not read with the eyes, but with the soul.
Of course, there are many more useful, wonderful, and amazing books out there, but we are sure the literature listed above will not disappoint you.
Which of these works are you familiar with? What other consciousness-altering books do you know? Add to the list!
