The first task of the new stage of spiritual development is to become an anchor of the new reality. But, as the experience of our audience shows, maintaining this state on an ongoing basis turns out to be far more challenging.
It’s easy to stay in harmony, feel inner fullness, and radiate high vibrations during meditation, practice, or in those moments when everything is falling into place.
But sometimes a single conflict, a harsh word, or a complaint from a loved one is enough, and your state shifts in literally a matter of seconds. The state of defense kicks in.
The heart closes, tension builds up inside, and you want to pull away, respond, prove you’re right, or, on the contrary, cut off the interaction altogether.
And in that moment, the flow gets blocked.
Why this happens and why the ability to remain open becomes one of the key skills of the new stage of spiritual development — that’s what we’ll talk about next.
Why the state of defense becomes habitual
The defensive reaction as the default mode of the old reality
Most people live in a constant state of inner readiness to defend themselves.
Even if a person looks calm on the outside, on the inside they’re always on alert. It’s as if they’re sitting in a fortress: all doors are locked, weapons are positioned around the perimeter, and their finger is constantly hovering over the “Fire!” button.
The subconscious is continuously scanning the space:
- “Where will the danger come from?”
- “Who’s going to hurt me now?”
- “Who’s going to cause me pain again?”
- “Where do I need to defend myself in time?”
This is exactly how the consciousness of a person living in matrix reality is wired.
At its core lies the feeling of separation. There’s “me,” and there’s the world around me. And this world is perceived as a potential threat.
That’s why the defensive reaction becomes a natural way of existing.
When it comes to those who are walking the path of spiritual development, in a state of defense they cease to be those very anchors of the new reality.
It’s impossible to simultaneously live in a state of defense and, at the same time, radiate a space of harmony, love, and inner peace around yourself.
These states are incompatible.

When we close off from the world, we close off from ourselves
When you close yourself off, it seems like the defense is directed at the other person.
We shield ourselves from rudeness, criticism, injustice, and devaluation. But in reality, the first victim of this defense is you yourself.
As soon as the heart closes, the free flow of energy stops.
It’s as if you cease to be connected to that inner space you could feel just moments before.
Lightness disappears, inspiration fades, making decisions becomes harder, and inner tension arises.
It’s impossible to manifest Heaven on Earth while remaining emotionally closed.

How the state of protection manifests in relationships
Why we feel others’ closedness so acutely
You may have noticed that lately you’ve become much more sensitive to the state of other people.
Before, you might not have paid attention to someone else’s closedness, but now it’s literally felt physically. There’s a sense that a wall has appeared between you and that person.
You approach them with an open heart, but it’s as if you’re hitting an invisible barrier.
Most often, there’s no conscious intention to push you away — they’re simply in a state of protection, closed off.
This phenomenon can be especially noticeable in relationships lately.
Don’t take others’ closedness personally
When a loved one closes off, the first reaction is almost always the same: “It must be because of me.”
Then the familiar scenarios kick in:
- someone starts feeling guilt,
- someone feels shame,
- someone takes offense,
- someone tries to earn their favor,
- someone, on the contrary, starts defending themselves in response.
So one closed shell collides with another, and instead of living interaction, two walls emerge.
But often someone else’s closedness has nothing to do with you at all. Every person is currently going through their own inner processes. Each one is surfacing their own fears and old programs.
That’s why it’s important to stop automatically perceiving any negative reaction from another person as an evaluation of yourself.

How to know that you yourself have entered a state of protection
The state of protection often switches on before we even have time to realize it.
First, the body changes: tension appears in the chest or belly, you want to pull away, freeze, or, on the contrary, respond immediately.
Then perception changes. You stop seeing the situation as a whole and begin to notice only what confirms your resentment or sense of threat.
After that, an inner need to defend yourself appears: to prove you are right, to explain to the other person how wrong they are, to punish with silence or to emotionally withdraw.
If you learn to notice this sequence at the very beginning, space for choice opens up.
You are not yet obliged to react in your habitual way. You can pause, feel your body, and ask yourself: “Am I really defending myself from a real threat right now, or am I closing off from my own experience?”
It is this pause that becomes the first step from automatic defense to conscious openness.
Flow and Openness
Why Flow Is Impossible in a State of Defense
Flow is a state in which energy passes freely through you. It does not linger, does not get blocked, does not hit internal barriers.
You remain open no matter what is happening around you.
But it is important not to confuse this state with people-pleasing or self-denial. Being open to everything and everyone does not mean tolerating disrespect or allowing your boundaries to be crossed.
An open heart does not mean agreeing to violence, does not mean staying silent when you need to speak up, does not mean letting yourself be used or enduring humiliation. All of that belongs to the role of the victim.
Flow means not letting pain close your heart.
It is about the ability to maintain inner openness regardless of another person’s behavior.
Because it is in the open state that you stay connected to your Soul.

Why Relationships Become the Greatest Test
What Happens During Conflict
Most often, we shut down precisely around the people closest to us.
Loved ones are the ones who most often touch our most sensitive inner spots.
You were not appreciated, not heard, someone said something unpleasant, made a complaint, responded rudely — and your heart instantly closes.
But it is precisely at that moment that a person stops feeling the flow of life force within themselves.
So here is the paradox — we think we are defending ourselves from another person, but in reality we are depriving ourselves of an inner state of harmony.
That’s why it’s so important to learn how to notice the moment when you start closing off internally.

The role of the collective field. How one person’s state affects the space of a relationship
Another feature of this new era is that one person’s state has an ever-growing impact on those around them.
When many people are simultaneously in an open, flowing state, an entirely different space of interaction emerges between them.
There’s a sense of ease, more mutual understanding, and a desire to create together. Each person becomes a source of this space.
But if most people are in a defensive mode, the picture is completely the opposite. Everyone is sitting in their own shell, everyone is on guard, everyone is bracing for a blow.
And then even the most sincere attempts to reach one another run up against inner walls.
Inner openness as the foundation of the new reality
The new reality, Heaven on Earth, is created from within.
Every time you refuse to let fear, resentment, or pain completely close your heart, you strengthen this new reality — first within yourself, and then all around you.
This is exactly how “Heaven on Earth” gradually comes into being: through inner openness and the ability to stay connected to yourself even when the outer world is going through yet another phase of change.
In which situations do you most often notice your heart closing off?
