Spiritual causes of depression, financial hardship, and illness.

I dedicate this material to spiritual practitioners who, at some stage of their development, have encountered the “heaviness of life”.

The easiest way to describe it is with this phrase: “I’m working on myself, growing spiritually, so why do I feel worse?!”

This can lead to disappointment in yourself or your practices — “it’s all for nothing…”

This information resonates so deeply right now with me and my like-minded friends and clients that I felt it was absolutely necessary to share it with the readers of “Keys to Mastery.”

However, even if you don’t consider yourself a spiritual practitioner but “happened” to come across this article — take a look. Perhaps this is exactly the information you need right now.

* * *

Check if you’re familiar with the following symptoms:
  • a depressive, oppressed state for no particular reason;
  • a lack of desire to live — from deep despair to a mild indifference to your life and everything human (“everything is dust”);
  • a feeling of confusion in this world — I don’t understand who I am or what I’m even doing here;
  • longing for the “True Home”, a feeling that you’re not from here, that there’s another place where you would be truly happy;
  • unexplainable bouts of anxiety, fear (so-called panic attacks);
  • bone diseases, dental issues;
  • excess weight or underweight;
  • periodic weakness and coldness in the body;
  • immune system disorders, such as allergies and so on;
  • problems with money.

At the same time, you’ve likely already worked with programs on self-love and self-acceptance, healed the past, and accepted your family and lineage.

(If you haven’t yet completed this stage, we recommend Alena Starovoitova’s transformation seminar “Dance with the Shadow.”)

This article addresses cases where you’ve already worked through acute traumas and the acceptance of your personal qualities, yet the above-mentioned symptoms are intensifying.

You’ve worked so hard on yourself, moved huge layers, and should supposedly be happier and freer — so what’s the deal?

I’ll tell you. You’ve advanced far in your development and encountered spiritual resistance.

Lori Gilmore described it as “the body’s resistance to the loss of density caused by the descent of spirit.”

Simply put, your vast and powerful Soul finds it difficult to integrate into your body and live as a human.

And the more of a spiritual person you become, the more you identify with the Soul — sometimes, alas, the harder it is to connect with the body and earthly life.

The origins of spiritual resistance lie in the so-called First Cause (“Descent into Darkness,” or Separation).

This refers to your birth on Earth.

At some point, your great Soul, connected to the Unconditional Love of the Creator, made the decision to experience the human journey. And then many of us fell into the illusion of separation.

Here’s what Sal Rachel writes about this (here and throughout, quotes from the book “The Integrating Human: Soul Integration”):

“You were accustomed to flying and soaring in unlimited time, space, and beyond. And then suddenly you were confined to a vehicle of flesh and blood, made completely helpless and dependent on others.

The sensation was so powerful that it consumed your consciousness. All you could think about was the excruciating pain passing through your body as you were being pushed into the harsh, dense reality of the physical world.”

This process is called “compression of spiritual energy into matter”.

When you reach the memory of this experience, “the physiological imprint activates an intense energy of compression and a strong desire for decompression” (essentially, this is a longing for death).

Unwillingness to live as a longing for “liberation”

Beginners diligently practice to feel themselves and their reality at least a little more than the physical world. They are burdened by this lack of freedom and the memory of something greater.

You, as advanced practitioners who have finally felt the illusory nature of reality and your own truth, can fall into a specific trap — “longing for the higher realms.”

Here is what it looks like.

You feel that you were once vast, powerful, and free beings, full of love.

You lived where there wasn’t even the knowledge of pain, and everything was permeated with love and wisdom.

You remember how pleasant it was to explore the Universe, to easily connect with any being, and to feel the boundless acceptance of God.

You remember the gifts of telepathic communication, instant healing, moving to any point in the universe, and energetic exchange with kindred souls.

Compared to these wonderful memories, life on Earth seems painful and unbearable, and we unconsciously strive to end it.

“Pain is resistance to what is,” writes Sal Rachele. And in this pain lies the source of spiritual resistance.

Consequences of spiritual resistance

1. Unexplained melancholy and depression, an unconscious longing for death

These painful feelings are based on emotional trauma during incarnation.

“Your first thought about this is roughly: Strong compression. Uncomfortable and painful. I must have done something wrong and deserve all this.

God is punishing me. Once I felt wonderful, immersed in bliss. Now I am compressed and full of pain. I must return to the Garden of Eden.”

Such experiences cause a desire to escape the compression.

This manifests as an “urge to die,” i.e., a desire to leave the physical body and return to a less compressed, disembodied state.

This is the root cause of depression, dejection, and panic attacks.

2. Deterioration of health

“For a person to live on Earth in a physical body, a certain percentage of the soul’s total energy must be present in their body. The more soul energy in the body, the healthier and stronger it is, and the more successfully the soul will cope with the problems of earthly life.”

Because the Soul’s impulse is an unconscious desire to leave the body, the organism, following its will, begins to break down.

This is especially noticeable in diseases of the bones and teeth, the densest matter in your body. It’s no coincidence that in old age, when the soul is already preparing for transition, bones become brittle and teeth fall out.

Remember, an overly fragile person is often described as “ethereal,” meaning they are barely present in the body.

Problems with the immune system are also possible, especially allergies (rejection of the body, earthly food, etc.).

3. Excess Weight

Let’s highlight this point separately, because many spiritual practitioners encounter an inexplicable increase in weight.

In this, alas, rather destructive way, the body tries to contain the existing spiritual mass.

Read more about this in the article “The Paradoxical Cause of Excess Weight.”

4. Problems with Money

Your Soul remembers a world where the exchange of energies happened freely and easily, where ranks and finances were not valued, but the qualities of pure love and wisdom were.

Therefore, the Soul does not understand the need to earn money and yearns for that “free world.”

As one acquaintance of mine (a powerful practitioner) put it: “I keep waiting for the time when I won’t have to work and they’ll just pay me for my radiance and love. But it never comes, and I become disillusioned with the world’s fairness.”

As a result, the inner message of the Soul, “I don’t need money,” manifests in the physical world as financial problems.

Listen to your inner response; surely something similar is familiar to you.

5. Disappointment in Relationships

You remember your spiritual Family, those energies of love and acceptance with which dear beings surrounded you.

You seek the same quality of love on Earth, but many people, often the closest ones, have caused and continue to cause you pain.

You don’t understand why this happens, and it breaks your heart.

You enter relationships with a completely open soul, and when faced with misunderstanding, betrayal, or rejection, you close off and become disappointed in people or in yourself.

You are constantly searching for your “Divine Beloved,” sometimes almost not believing that happiness with them is possible on Earth…

6. Dissatisfaction in Career and Fulfillment

Your Soul remembers that it is perfect and that in its Home, there is no need to compete with others to receive any benefits.

As a result, when you encounter deceit, indifference, or cruelty from people in society, it causes unbearable pain and a desire to avoid it.

Hence the specific behavior of many spiritual practitioners, which manifests as a desire to “grab a backpack, drop everything, and walk off into nowhere,” as well as an inability to confidently stand up for themselves.

Furthermore, the desire to “break free from life,” dictated by spiritual resistance, forms a subconscious program of “it’s all for nothing.”

Which, as you understand, does not contribute to your successful fulfillment.

As a result, spiritual resistance leads to the fact that it is hard for you to live in this world, you become disappointed in yourself, money, and relationships, and further spiritual growth can only intensify the longing for “Home” and, consequently, self-destruction.

If you want to avoid this and find joy in life on Earth, achieve success in all important endeavors, you need to eliminate spiritual resistance and help your higher aspect settle into your body.

Remember, you are wonderful luminous beings incarnated in human bodies, and you deserve maximum happiness on your Earthly Path!
