10 steps to your dream. A guide to making it happen.

There is probably not a single person on Earth who has no desires.

At every stage of life, we dream of something. From the simplest to the most global.

  • It’s clear how to fulfill simple desires, but what to do with the bigger ones?
  • Why do some people easily get what they want, while it slips away from others?
  • What steps can you take to make a dream a reality?

After reading this article, you will find answers to these questions, understand yourself better, and receive proven practical tools for bringing your intentions to life.

Why Desires Don’t Come True

What do people usually dream about? What do they want to get? What heights do they want to reach?

People’s desires are similar:

  • to find love, a family, have children;
  • to be healthy;
  • to find a good job with decent pay;
  • to live in comfortable conditions;
  • to travel, etc.

Some people persistently move towards their goal, while others give up, considering themselves unworthy of these blessings.

Often, achieving a goal does not bring happiness or satisfaction. And all because sometimes we forget to look inside ourselves and understand what we truly want.

If every person, before chasing what they desire, asked themselves: “Do I really want this?”, it would turn out that not everyone needs the same thing.

By listening to the desires of your soul, you open the door to a completely different world, one filled with an abundance of what you truly need.

Such desires come true easily and without obstacles. And this is the main difference between a true dream and one imposed from the outside.

We invite you to go through these 10 steps to bring the true desires of your heart to life.

Step-by-Step Guide for Manifesting Intentions

Step 1. Decide on Your Desire

Make a list of what you dream about. Focus on one desire.

You won’t be able to realize all your desires at once anyway, and you’ll just waste your energy.

An important criterion is that the desire must be beneficial both for you and for the Universe.

For example, you dream of going on a trip. Your benefit from realizing this intention is broadening your horizons and gaining new experiences.

The benefit for the Universe is the positive emotions you will radiate during the trip.

Hence, it raises your personal vibrations and the vibrations of the planet as a whole.

Step 2. Formulate Your Intention

It’s best if the formulation of your intention fits into one phrase.

The intention should be specific, precise, and written in the present tense. The phrase should inspire you and evoke positive emotions.

The intention should be understandable not only to you. Read the phrase to friends or loved ones you trust to check if the wording is clear or not.

Step 3. Check Your Intention for Truth

“Imagine a buffet table overflowing with whipped cream, salmon, buns, roast meat, fruit salad, green enchiladas, rice with curry, yogurt, and lots of other goodies – appetizers, main courses, desserts.

Imagine you’re looking at it and you see dishes that appeal to you. “So,” you say to yourself, “I’ll take this, this, and a little bit of that.”

Some people spend their entire lives making decisions using this approach.

We are surrounded by a world that constantly beckons, that penetrates our lives, whetting an appetite where there was none before.

By making such a choice, we choose something only because it happened to be right in front of our nose at that moment.

It’s not necessarily what we want, but it has caught our interest, and the longer we look at it, the more tempting it seems.”

Clarissa Pinkola Estés, “Women Who Run With the Wolves”

Most of our desires are imposed by advertising and our environment.

But if you look deep within yourself and ask, “What is important to me right now?”, “What do I truly want?”, it turns out that half of what you supposedly want, you don’t actually need at all.

Those who have learned to listen to their heart will easily answer these questions for themselves. If the thought of what you desire makes your soul sing, then it is yours.

Track synchronicities. If something is pointed out to you at least twice, it means that’s what you need.

The group meditation “Manifesting Abundance” will help you tune in to what your heart wants, not your mind.

Step 4. Find the Hidden Benefits

If you don’t have what you dream of, it means it’s beneficial to you.

Find out the reason. Ask yourself what is stopping you from getting what you want. What benefits do you get without your dream?

Be honest with yourself.

Write down the benefits on one side of the paper, and opposite them write what you will do to eliminate them.

Here are some common benefits:

  • You don’t have to leave your comfort zone, because everything here is already familiar (desires related to finding a new job, major purchases, etc.).
  • You can remain a victim: people feel sorry for me, I get attention (desires related to improving health, finding a new partner, etc.)
  • You don’t have to deprive yourself of food, you can lie on the couch (if the desire is related to weight loss).

Are you ready to part with these “advantages”? Or are they more important than your desire?

Step 5. Release Fears, Grievances, Rewrite Negative Beliefs

In the previous step, you may discover fears, grievances, and disbelief in your ability to achieve what you want.

  • Fear is a clear sign that there is potential hidden in achieving the goal. Realizing this will give you the strength to act.

Fears also surface for other reasons. For example, the criteria for the goal are artificially inflated to make sure you don’t even start manifesting the intention. Behind this lies a fear of repeating a past situation.

  • Grievances: towards the Universe for not giving you this; envy towards those who already have it.

By letting go of grievances and expectations, you will get unstuck.

  • Insecurity — you subconsciously believe you are unworthy of what you desire. You send vibrations containing this information out into the Universe, and it confirms it for you.

If a desire has arisen in your heart, it means there are also opportunities for its fulfillment. Believe in yourself, that you are worthy.

In moments of self-doubt, repeat: I am worthy, I deserve this!

Step 6. Attune to the reality where it already exists

Imagine that you have already received what you desire. What do you feel? How do you behave? Track those sensations.

Find the differences between you today and that version of you who already has what you desire.

Unite with a more successful version of yourself in the “Meeting Your Future Self” meditation.

Step 7. Create “anchors”

To constantly remember your dream, create reminders for yourself — “anchors.”

This way, you won’t just think about the dream, but also recall those feelings you experienced when you attuned to your future self.

Find inspiring images that embody the fulfillment of your dream, and place them on the desktop of your computer, tablet, or phone.

Create a vision board. Either digital or on paper, a collage of photos, magazine cutouts.

You can depict one desire or one from different areas of life. It’s important that the images inspire you.

While searching for suitable pictures and photos, and later looking at them, your consciousness focuses on the goal, and at that moment you draw closer to it, co-creating your reality.

Step 8. Act in the direction of your dream

Just thinking about a dream is not enough to bring it to life.

If you remain inactive, the Universe will decide you don’t need it, and the desire won’t come true.

So, make a plan of what you will do to achieve your goal. Break it down into small steps.

Which one will you take right now?

When you act towards a goal using only 3D techniques, you rely only on yourself.

By trusting your soul, your “Higher Self,” new opportunities to achieve what you desire open up to you.

Step 9. Release control

Releasing control over the fulfillment of your dream doesn’t mean leaving everything to chance.

You keep your focus on your intention, but you are not attached to the outcome.

You are grateful for what is, enjoying the “here and now” moment, the process of achieving the goal.

Mentally play out the worst-case scenario. What if what you dream of never happens for you.

What will you do? How will you live? Will you be happy and fulfilled?

This will help loosen your grip on control over the situation; you will trust the Universe, which will open up the most incredible paths to your goal, ones you would never have thought of yourself.

Step 10. Launch the intention

So, you’ve done all the necessary steps. Now your task is to launch the intention.

Use one of these methods, or both at once:

  • Perform a ritual to launch the intention: plant a seed, bury a piece of paper with your intention in the ground, release a sky lantern or a balloon into the sky. You are Creators, come up with the perfect option for yourself.
  • Enter a meditative state, call upon your “Higher Self,” the guides you work with, and say aloud or silently: “I release this intention for easy manifestation into my life for my highest good and the highest good of all. I hand over responsibility for its realization to the higher powers and fully trust the process. So be it!”

After this, stop worrying about the result and thinking about how what you desire will come into your life.

Your task is to attune yourself to the dream and believe that it will definitely come true.

Otherwise, why dream at all?
