This exercise is taken from the book “Life on the Frontline” by Sal Rachel.
Despite the outdated terms used by the author, I liked the exercise itself.
It consists of 2 parts — a meditation for entering an alpha-theta state and affirmations on the topic of money and finances.
If anyone is unsure they will be able to “remember” the sequence of actions in a meditative state, use the voice recorder built into any mobile phone and record the text.
Before starting the practice, read the statements about money and CHOOSE the ones that resonate with YOU!
Alpha-Theta Meditation with Self-Suggestion
Note: This exercise requires two people (a hypnotist and a patient) or a tape recorder and cassette. Do not use while driving a car. Words in parentheses are provided for the convenience of the hypnotist. This does not mean they are spoken aloud or recorded on tape. Different elements of self-suggestion induction can be combined in different ways.
The double symbol (**) indicates when the hypnotist should pause for a few seconds.
[Part 1 – Introductory Statements]
In this meditation, your body and mind will relax, but you will remain conscious and attentive. You will experience sensations, be aware of thoughts, and stay in contact with your body.
When you are deeply relaxed, your intuitive mind is able to perceive words within and around you with greater clarity. While in a calm, relaxed state, you can use the control center of your brain to reprogram unwanted negative beliefs and integrate heavy emotional experiences from the past.
At any time, you will be in full control of your mental faculties. You can accept or reject anything I say.
You can use the information that is most beneficial to you and humanity. I will offer statements designed to expand your awareness and creativity. I will guide your breathing to help you relax.
[Part 2 – Body Relaxation and Breathing]
Make sure you are sitting in a comfortable position, spine straight, feet on the floor, hands on your knees, eyes closed. Take a deep breath, allowing a free exhale and connecting it with the inhale.
** Continuing to breathe, feel more and more relaxation.
** Take another deep breath, and as you do, focus your attention on your left leg.
** Feel how your left leg relaxes.
** Now focus on your right leg. Allow it to relax.
** You are now becoming more peaceful, calm, and aware.
** Take three deep breaths, and as you do, allow your calves to relax, allow any tension to gently release through the soles of your feet.
** Now become aware of your thighs. Allow them to relax.
** Focus on the sensations in your buttocks and pelvic area. Notice the feeling of sitting and allow your weight to rest naturally on the chair.
** Allow a peaceful, warm feeling to spread throughout the lower part of your body. This state of inner calm is healthy and beneficial.
** Now turn your attention to your abdominal area. Allow it to release any tension. Allow your abdominal muscles to relax and become soft.
** You continue to hear my voice, you are attentive and aware of what is being said.
** Take one more breath, and as you do, imagine a wave of relaxing, tingling warmth rising up your spine, starting at the base of your spine and ending at the base of your neck. Peacefully let go of any tension in your back.
** Allow your chest to relax. Let each exhale be a sigh of relief and a release from any tension.
** Imagine a warm glow radiating from your heart area.
** Imagine a wave of peaceful energy moving through your shoulders, down your arms, and out through your fingers. Allow your shoulders to naturally drop.
** Ah! Deep relaxation, what a pleasant feeling.
** Continue to breathe deeply, allowing all tension to leave your neck, the back of your head, the top of your head, your forehead, your eyelids, and your face. Allow your eyelids to remain naturally closed.
** Now allow your entire body to fully relax. Allow everything to go, feel complete relief, safety, and peace.
[Pause 10 or 12 seconds]
Relaxing the body and mind is very beneficial. Calming and releasing tension and stress creates greater vitality and strength. Whenever you want to relax and clear your mind, take a deep breath, close your eyes, and allow your body to relax.
Allow all sounds or sensations to add to your peace. Allow any thoughts, any resistance, any doubt or fear to leave without disturbing your calm. Do not try to control what is happening.
Simply notice and allow everything to be as it is. Accept yourself exactly as you are right now. Allow everything to happen. You don’t need to do anything. Just gently let go of all the worries of the day, all thoughts of yesterday or tomorrow.
Feel the freedom of being here and now, just as you are. You are attentive to your emotions, sensations in your body, any images or mental pictures.
You are allowing the surface mind to calm down so that the deeper intuitive mind can work. By calming the rational analytical mind, the mind can “see” thoughts as they arise and creatively use them to make your life more fulfilling.
Each time you enter a deep level of the mind, it will become easier for you to calm the surface mind and remain in this state without falling asleep. It becomes easier and easier for you to breathe fully, freely and naturally. With each breath, you become more alive and aware.
[Deepening the process – induction]
Now I would like you to visualize a ten-story building.
** This building is your consciousness, and the floors are the levels of the mind.
** Imagine yourself on the tenth floor of the building. This is the surface consciousness.
** Now imagine yourself stepping into an elevator.
** You press a button and descend to the lower floors.
** As I count from 10 to 1, you will go down one floor at a time. With each decreasing number, I would like you to visualize yourself in the elevator, descending one floor. We will start from the 10th floor. With each decreasing number, you enter a deeper, more aware state of mind.
** 10 – 9 – 8 – going down, going deeper – 7 – 6 – 5 – the surrounding sounds help you go deeper – 4 – 3 – watch the elevator pass the floors – 2 – and 1.
** You are now on the very bottom floor. This floor is a very deep state of mind, deeper than the state you have been in for so long.
** The elevator door opens, and you step out. In front of you is a staircase leading down to the basement. Begin walking down the steps.
** Lower, lower, lower – go deeper, deeper than before. [Pause 10 seconds] Now in front of you is a long tunnel. At the far end of the tunnel is light. Walk through the tunnel towards the light.
** You approach the light, closer and closer.
[Visualization process – pause 20 seconds]
You come out of the darkness and move towards the light. And you find yourself on a beautiful alpine meadow on a warm, sunny day. Everything is alive, you feel the freshness of the air. You hear the buzzing of bees and the rustling of the wind in the branches of the trees.
You feel the sun on your body and the earth beneath your feet. Looking up, you notice a blue sky with a few soft white clouds. Breathe deeply and absorb it all.
** You are completely free, you are in total safety and peace.
** Walk around the meadow, noticing the flowers, the grass, the wildlife. Find a comfortable spot on the grass and lie down, looking at the sun. You will stay here until you hear my voice again.
[Self-suggestion – pause 60 seconds]
The following statements will help expand awareness and improve creative abilities.
[Affirmations on the topic of money and finances]
— I love myself regardless of how much money I have.
— With every breath, I strengthen my financial well-being.
— All ignorance, fears, and doubts related to money are now brought to the surface of my consciousness and integrated.
— I learn the appropriate lessons that will allow me to act in ways that ensure financial success.
— I resolve all conflicts related to money. I am free to enjoy life, regardless of how much money I have.
— I am a free and unlimited being living in the material world.
— Abundance is my true state of being. Now I reclaim it and express it joyfully.
— Money helps express my spirituality in the world.
— I realize that the manifestation of absence or lack in the modern economic system is the result of ignorance and limited thinking on the part of the people creating and maintaining the system. The best way to overcome this is to release all limiting concepts in my mind.
— I am responsible for my current financial situation. I am not a victim of the system. If I don’t like what I see, I can change my thoughts and personal reality to have a positive influence on society.
— To change the world, only one enlightened being is needed.
— I forgive everyone, including myself, who has ever hindered my financial well-being.
— I live in harmony with money and material things. I focus on financial matters only when it is appropriate.
— I realize that, like everything else, money is a divine substance.
— All my needs are met. I always have what I truly need.
— I am one with the Infinite Manifestation. I am abundance. I am success.
— People enjoy paying me for what I enjoy most.
— I deserve prosperity for the services I have rendered.
— I use money in ways that support my growth and the growth of others.
— I deserve to enjoy my money. I spend it wisely. I am generous.
— I overcome all barriers, thoughts of lack, and seemingly unfavorable circumstances. I allow an unlimited flow of abundance into my life.
— I clearly see what to do to create immense personal wealth. — I am an open channel. My prosperity flows into the world in the best possible way.
— I have everything I need to be happy.
— I declare that I am the master of my life, reaping the fruits of complete success and abundance in everything I do.
— I free myself from all blocks to unlimited prosperity.
[Exiting hypnosis – 60 second pause]
Now I will count from 1 to 10. With each increasing number, you will wake up more and more. You will be able to fully retrieve any and all information received in the deep state of mind. You will feel rested and full of energy, refreshed and full of life.
There will be no painful effects or anything of that sort from this meditation.
1 – 2 – 3 – slowly coming out – 4 – 5 – 6 – feeling alert, completely rested, ready to function in the normal waking state – 7 – 8 – 9 – and 10.
Wake up completely. Fully refreshed.
