Collective shadow: how to avoid falling into the trap of confrontation

The collective shadow is a phenomenon that becomes especially noticeable during periods of large-scale change, when the inner tension of individuals begins to manifest at the level of society. To understand how these processes work, it is important to first grasp the nature of the personal shadow.

In the two previous broadcasts, “Exit from the Looking Glass,” part one and part two, we examined in detail how the individual shadow is formed and how it influences the perception of reality, reactions, and inner states.

These topics provided a foundation for a deeper understanding of the inner processes that a person goes through during a period of intense change.

Today we will take the next step and look at a larger-scale level — the phenomenon of the collective shadow. This is a look at processes that go beyond the personal psyche and manifest in the space between people, in social reactions, emotional waves, and a sense of shared tension.

Understanding these mechanisms allows us not only to navigate what is happening more effectively, but also to maintain inner stability without getting drawn into the field of confrontation.

In this article, we will explore how the collective shadow manifests, why it is making itself known especially actively in the current period, and what will help preserve a state of unity and inner harmony.

How the Psychological and Spiritual Views of the Shadow Differ

My understanding and my work on shadow integration is more spiritual than psychological, so it has significant differences.

From the perspective of some branches of psychology, the shadow is something dark, terrible — it is the flawed and imperfect version of you that you cannot stand.

For me, the shadow is the lost part of our whole “self.”

When we come into this world, we are whole. Then, over the course of life, we begin to cast off certain fragments of ourselves. Sometimes in order to earn our parents’ love, sometimes under the pressure of circumstances, living through traumatic experiences.

Each time, some inconvenient, unacceptable, or rather unaccepted by society, loved ones, or parents — parts of us — you throw behind the fence of consciousness.

Thus, this shadow grows larger and larger and larger with each passing year. And in the end, what was originally whole and was meant to develop holistically turns into a kind of flawed “self.” But not because it is bad, narrow-minded, or weak, but because you have cast off too much.

Your shadow hides not only certain unpleasant parts of you, but also a huge number of gifts, talents, and abilities.

The Individuality of Shadow Interpretation

The shadow is always an individual story. In one family there may be three people who lived through the same experience, and the shadow aspects of each of them will be completely different.

We react completely differently to the same situations and interpret and perceive what happened in different ways. Our personal interpretation depends on this unique, individual angle.

There is no universal way in which you would coincide with other people in interpreting what happened and how it affected you.

What is the shadow

The shadow is either a physical or mental part of you that is suppressed, rejected, unrecognized, denied by you. It could be some quality, character trait, something you like or dislike, some talent or ability.

The shadow is located behind the fence of consciousness. Everything inside your fence, you are aware of and can manage it, interact with it, but what is in the subconscious, you do not see.

The shadow manifests as a kind of stormy, most often, emotional reaction, which tries to reach out and say: “Hey! I’m here! Take me back, I’m tired of sitting behind this fence, bring me back!”

Our main task is to return all the lost parts of ourselves, to integrate.

Therefore, many years of transformational spiritual work have been directed at returning the given-away energy time after time, releasing the locked-up emotions, and collecting these suppressed, rejected parts of ourselves.

Why the collective shadow manifests

The rise in the planet’s vibrations as a precondition for the manifestation of the collective shadow

Since the end of April 2026, according to information from spiritual sources, the planet’s vibrations have risen, including thanks to the magmatic, plasma energy that is in the Earth’s core.

What happens when some part begins to vibrate higher? It is the same as directing a beam of light with a flashlight into a dark room. As a result, what was not visible before begins to be illuminated. Moreover, the more powerful the light, the better it can be seen.

Approximately the same process began to occur at the beginning of May, a rising of everything that vibrates below the planet’s vibrational level began. This is not a process of one day and certainly not of one month, all of this will gradually continue to rise.

This vibration is primarily transmitted through the earthly elements, through interaction with nature.

How the collective shadow works

In the book “The Shadow Effect. How to Turn the Power of the Dark Sides of Your Soul to Good,” which Deepak Chopra wrote in collaboration with Debbie Ford and Marianne Williamson, there was a mention of the collective shadow.

According to him, the collective shadow is the sum of all people’s shadows, including collective anger, fear, and dark impulses that people try to hold back. It is visible in social phenomena: wars, prejudices, panic, hatred.

A distant analogy can be drawn with “dyed-in-the-wool” Light Workers. Why dyed-in-the-wool? Because these are not those who shine, who walk the path of service, but those who called themselves white and fluffy, who did not do the transformational work of integrating their rejected parts, and as a result, inside, in the unconscious part, there remained both malice, and greed, and backbiting, and mischief-making.

By day they are bright, cool, but by night — attacks on the energetic level, because this malicious part was going crazy.

It is impossible to be white and fluffy while denying, rejecting your shadow aspects. Until you reach an integrated state, where you connect one and the other, after that you can shine without these distortions. Because you have accepted in yourself both the cool qualities and those qualities that you condemned in yourself and in others.

This analogy is not very close to the topic, because it works as a collective image. For some it’s backbiting, for some it’s greed, for some it’s envy, for some it’s total condemnation, someone put a crown on their head and refused to acknowledge it. But the manifestations of shadow aspects themselves were diverse. On the whole, this can be called the collective shadow.

And what we encountered after May 5 — that was precisely the collective shadow, which manifested especially strongly against the backdrop of pressure and a huge number of restrictions and prohibitions.

Those of us who went through “Dance with the Shadow,” you remember the boomerang effect, when something is sent out and comes back in a modified form, when a person is seized by the emotion: “I would restore order!”, “they need to be crushed!” and so on. Which, in principle, has prevailed in society at the everyday level in recent months.

And since good girls and boys don’t behave that way, this gets suppressed and then returns in the form of a feeling of intensified pressure, exaggerated in scale. This phenomenon is collective, mass.

Go through the meditation “Portal of Liberation.” The purpose of the meditation is to go through the practice of integrating shadow aspects: to acknowledge your presence in irritating reactions, in situations where others reacted to you, and in the beauty of the world around you — through the phrase “and this is also me” — and to anchor the experience of integration in the grid of the Earth.

Signs that you have come under the influence of the collective shadow

The collective shadow manifests not only through external events, but above all through a person’s inner state. The most common signs:

  • a feeling that those around you are constantly against you;
  • a desire to divide people into “right” and “wrong”;
  • heightened emotional reaction to news and comments;
  • a tendency to blame someone for what is happening;
  • a feeling of powerlessness, irritation, or hidden aggression;
  • loss of the feeling of interconnectedness with the world around you.

The sooner you notice such states, the easier it is to return your attention to yourself and step out of the collective emotional field.

The Feeling of Confrontation

How does it show up?

Someone writes a comment, and you perceive it, for example, as an attack on you. As if they’re doing it on purpose.

It’s not about prohibitions, not about restrictions, not about this changed way of life, where things that used to come easily now require an enormous amount of effort.

It’s about this feeling that you’re being opposed. And this is the main indicator of the 3D matrix: one thing opposes another, black and white, front side and back side, top and bottom.

In all these concepts, the feeling of unity is lost — that this is a single whole.

Everyone had their own little key for entering: for some, it was dissatisfaction with restrictions, for others, something else. The manifestations are different, but the essence is the same — the loss of the frequency of unity.

When you sink into these little things, you enter the feeling of confrontation and essentially return to the matrix, and the world suddenly seems to start attacking:

  • the bus, as if on purpose, didn’t come,
  • Murphy’s law kicked in right on you: you walked into a store, there was enough of everything for everyone, but somehow there wasn’t any left for you,
  • a door closed right in front of your nose, and there’s a sign saying “back in 10 minutes.”

Little things, it would seem, but all together they stirred up this three-dimensional, matrix murk.

A huge mass of density is being pushed out of the Earth. Not because it’s bad, unworthy, underappreciated, but simply because it all vibrates more densely. It needed to be brought to light, but in the end there was a loss of the feeling of unity and interconnectedness, even if only for a short time.

This allowed many of us to be drawn into a collective shadow reality, where everyone opposes each other, where the authorities don’t measure up, where these ones were supposed to do it this way, and those ones were supposed to do that. And it seems like you’re not into it and you’re completely outside of politics, but you got pulled in.

What Will Help You Step Out of the Collective Shadow Reality

Maintain a Harmonious, Coherent State

You need to step out of the 3D matrix, to be above it. The key point is to achieve a coherent state within, where you are Light and Love 24/7.

Cut off everything where you “spend yourself,” where you fall into the personality.

The main task is to maintain this coherent state, so that you can be a station of Light to which many little rays converge from other people just like you, who are in a good state, simply doing good deeds.

Through us, the materialization of Heaven on Earth takes place. The more such stations of Light are online, the more possibilities there are. If at some point you suddenly drop out, this entire architecture holds.

But when there are few such stations of Light, or when some critical, serious changes occur, responsibility increases and the pressure exerted upon you becomes greater.

Try to Abide in a State of Unity

To maintain this coherent, harmonious state, you need to abide at the vibration level of the consciousness of unity.

There are two states: the state of opposition, duality, and the state of unity.

The state of unity and your interconnection with all that exists — this is the only thing that allows you to be outside of opposition.

Unity with all that exists: with people, with the Team of Humanity, with the planet, and with all its inhabitants, with the Solar System, and with our Galaxy. We are an integral part of this, no matter how small we may consider ourselves.

This is what the feeling of unity is.

Either you abide in a state of unity, feeling your inseparable connection with everything around you. Then it becomes obvious that both your smile and a kind word, and even moments of inner disarray, do not remain only yours — they spread throughout the world, like ripples on water, influencing people and events around you.

Attune Yourself with Nature

If you suddenly encounter a situation where a state of opposition overwhelms you: a comment on social media, or your husband said something and you took it defensively, attune yourself with nature: take walks, admire the sky, the clouds, the sun.

Nature rejoices and transmits this state of unity and interconnection.

Summary

The processes connected with opposition are connected with the activation of the collective shadow.

They have risen so that you could push all of this out of yourself. Unlike the shadow that you work through individually, this is a collective process, and we work on it collectively.
