New Year is ahead — a big holiday that both adults and children look forward to. Everyone expects magic, changes for the better.
But we create the miracle in our own lives ourselves. And for this miracle to come, you need to create favorable ground — a festive mood.
That is what we will do today.
Since you acknowledge yourself as the director of your own life, take brushes, paints, and color your everyday routine.
And I will tell you how to do it.
Before the holidays, some people fall into despondency. Everyone has their own reasons.
The most common one — people place expectations on this time and wait for something unusual and pleasant to happen, and for a completely different life to begin in the new year.
And when this does not happen again, disappointment sets in.
I suggest this time and in the future NOT TO WAIT. Instead, become wizards yourself and create a New Year’s mood for yourself and your loved ones, which will later serve as the foundation for a new, better life.
To do this, choose any of the methods…or all at once.
7 ways to create a festive mood
1. Prepare gifts for yourself and your loved ones
It is better to do this in advance, so as not to run around on the eve of the holiday itself searching for what you need.
Find out from your loved ones what they would like, or come up with something at your own discretion.
Lately, I try to jot down casually expressed wishes of my family, so that later there are no problems when choosing a gift for the next holiday.
Moreover, when you know what a person really wants, it is easier to please them. At the same time, I also rejoice when I see that I guessed right. In such moments, you feel like a wizard.
In many families, when one child has a birthday, parents buy gifts for their other children as well, so they don’t feel left out. Everyone should be happy on a holiday.
Adults are children at heart. We also want gifts.
So don’t forget to give one to yourself too. Look at your wish list (I hope you have a list of “wants”) and choose a New Year’s gift for yourself.
Pamper your inner child.

2. Think about how and where you will celebrate the holiday
If you want to feel the holiday spirit right now, start planning where you will celebrate it, how, and with whom.
Often spontaneity is the best friend of a successful celebration, but I still advise you to think about how you will celebrate the New Year before it arrives.
So that there are no regrets later about missed opportunities. These pleasant chores will lift your spirits.
Dream about how you would like to spend this time. Forget about the financial aspect, just let your imagination run free and ask yourself what you would really want.
What it should look like and, most importantly, what you should feel.
Release your request to the universe and let go of expectations. Let the universe choose the best option from all.
But don’t forget to take action yourself.
3. Decorate your surroundings
Decorating your home or workspace will greatly help create and maintain a festive mood.
On the eve of the New Year, this is very easy to do. For example, you can decorate the tree with handmade ornaments, even better if they are made by your own hands. Add more light to your surroundings, hang garlands — choose shades that will delight you and lift your spirits.
Put love and warmth into decorating your home, so that you and your loved ones can recharge with positive emotions.
4. Watch New Year movies
An excellent way to get into a festive mood is to watch movies that you associate with this holiday.
There is no shortage of New Year movies. Create a list of your favorites and watch them to your heart’s content.
5. Cheer up your loved ones
I’ll let you in on a secret: this is the best and fastest way to create a New Year’s mood for yourself as well.
As they say, if you want to receive something, give it to others. If you want support — support someone, if you want understanding — stop judging.
Think of a way to delight your loved ones or colleagues. Arrange a small pre-holiday surprise for your family, prepare little gifts for your coworkers.
Anticipating how their mood will lift from your actions, you yourself will be inspired. And strength will suddenly come from somewhere, and sadness will be gone.
After all, it’s not for nothing that they say giving is more pleasant than receiving.
6. Organize the celebration yourself
If you want to go further, try organizing the holiday yourself among loved ones or in a group.
Or at least contribute to the organization.
If you are invited to visit, think through the entertainment part of the celebration: find fun contests, poems, festive rituals.
Or use our New Year rituals.
When you create a mood for yourself, that is one level of vibration, but when you do something massively for many people, it launches a powerful wave of creation and manifestation.
You make a big contribution to changing the state of other people, and this returns to you in the form of the fulfillment of long-standing desires and positive changes in life.

7. Watch the broadcast “Magical New Year Kicks”
Many people continue to sit in a depressive state on the eve of the holiday, waiting for a miracle. In this regard, Alena Starovoitova held a New Year’s broadcast, where the following issues were examined:
- Who distributes the New Year’s mood by the kilogram,
- What border we cross on New Year’s Eve,
- To celebrate or to sleep (freeing yourself from New Year’s stereotypes),
- Gifts or sincere gratitude.
You can create a mood for yourself at any moment, even a minute before the holiday.
Never expect something external to make you happier. Look within yourself for reserves to overcome despondency and apathy.
Think about what else you can do right now to make your loved ones feel your love and warmth. So that this time is etched in their memory as a bright and kind recollection.
Perhaps, besides you, there is no one else in your circle who can do this.
