On the Keys of Mastery project, we often use terms such as soul, higher self, monad, and others.
There are many teachings and opinions about the structure of the higher aspects of a human being. We often reference many of the original sources.
In this article, we will share a simplified formula of what the human higher self includes, as well as what the soul is and how it differs from the spirit.
Distortion of the concept of the soul
People often use the concepts of soul and spirit in speech (including in sayings), while being completely confused about the definition of these terms.
The reasons for this confusion are understandable. In the existing system, there is no discipline or science that studies the soul.
The term “psychology” translates as the science of the soul. Nevertheless, psychology is more a science of the psyche than of the soul.
Due to the distortions of the 3D world, those specialists who could speak about the soul turn out to be completely ignorant in matters of the soul.
For example, there are regression specialists and reincarnation specialists, whose specific activity presupposes awareness of the topic of the soul.
But if such a specialist does not have a formed concept of the soul (what the soul is; how it differs from the spirit), even when entering the space of souls, with all the desire and variety of tools, the expert cannot give what does not exist inside him (in his mind).
There are many specialists whose minds have blocked everything – they do not believe.
They may use advanced tools, but at the same time they still transmit their disbelief or, in a certain sense, their limitation.
For this reason, one should look not at the tool, but at the specialist who works with this tool, at their level of consciousness, their “expandedness.”
How the soul differs from the spirit
The soul is not about the mind, not about intellect. The soul is about sensing – not even about emotions, but precisely about sensing.
A common question is how a person differs from the soul and what the spirit is.
The simplest definition of spirit might be this — it is the essence that animates matter. This description encompasses everything and nothing.
For this reason, it is difficult for the mind to understand what this all-encompassing and all-pervading part, which is everywhere and in everything, is, and how it differs from God/Source/Absolute.

What is the soul
Only a small part of the soul is located in the human body.
The soul itself is an entity residing at the level of the 7th dimension. Between the level of the soul and the Higher Divine aspects, there are five levels – five “steps to God.”
From the 7th dimension, the soul descends into density, but not immediately into the third. Initially, souls descended to gain experience and for evolution to the level of the 5th dimension (because Earth existed at the level of the 5th dimension).
Then what the Bible calls the fall, and other metaphysical sources call the fall from grace, occurred.
When Earth, with all its inhabitants, fell into the 3rd dimension, the soul – or rather, a part of it – began to descend to this level. At the same time, a part of the soul (its Parent fragment) always remains at the level of the 7th dimension.
There are many fragments that separate during the soul’s descent. They can incarnate simultaneously and at different levels.
In various sources, such fragments have different names, for example, individual souls, sovereign souls, soul fragments.
For example, some of these fragments may exist in the 5th dimension, some may be embodied as a humanoid, and others as a human. Some parts of the soul may be embodied in several people simultaneously.
At the same time, the Parent part is always located “above” – at the level of the 7th dimension.
This is all one soul – what you call the soul.

If you believe that you are your body and that only what can be perceived by the 5 senses exists, then that is the case. For you personally.
As soon as you allow that there is something more, the frequencies of your brain slow down, your consciousness expands, and you become capable of perceiving more than the third dimension.
Simplified formula of the higher aspects of a human
For better understanding, let’s simplify the formula – remove the term “spirit” from it.
As a result, we get: human self — soul — Higher Self.
There is the human self. Within a human there is the ego – that part which does not remember (has forgotten) that it is in constant contact with higher sources and is not separate from God.
Many people identify their human self with their ego. This is also called the “lower self.”
In addition to the human self, there is the soul and the Higher Self.
Let’s focus on this simple formula — human self + soul + Higher Self — and we will use it.
Let’s set aside the definition of spirit, which is interpreted differently by different sources, causing confusion for many.
The term “Higher Self” implies your own higher aspects. It remains to connect into a single link what the soul and the Higher Self are.
What the Higher Self Includes
The Higher Self contains all levels of measurement above the seventh.
The “composition” of the Higher Self according to Sal Rachele’s classification:
- soul;
- oversoul;
- monad;
- Christ-like or buddhic self;
- individual divine self;
- universal divine self.
All these levels are called the Higher Self.

In which dimensions we vibrate
Our bodies are at the level of the 3rd dimension. The parameters of this dimension are defined as depth, height, width.
The consciousness of many people is at a different level.
Often there is a difference of at least one dimension between the body and consciousness. If the body is three-dimensional, then consciousness can be four-dimensional. If the body is at level 3.5, then consciousness will be at level 4.5.
There are people whose consciousness vibrates at the level of the 5th dimension.
The soul is the higher, greater part of you that vibrates at the level of the 7th dimension.
In size, the soul is larger than a galaxy. In this sense, the soul is omnipresent. However, the soul may not be highly developed.
There is the Higher Self. This aspect also has different names in different sources.
According to Sal Rachele’s definition, the Higher Self includes all aspects of a person, from the 8th to the 12th dimension. This is what you ask to connect with when you enter the topic of spirituality.
There are 12 dimensions – 12 “selves.” Your soul vibrates at the level of the 7th dimension; its Parent Fragment always remains there, while a part of it descends (during incarnation).

What amount of the soul is in the body
Some people claim that children born through IVF supposedly have no soul. They are absolutely mistaken about this.
There is not a single person on planet Earth who does not have a soul. For the body to function, a soul is needed. There are no other options.
The question is what amount of the soul is in the body.
There are people who are excessively “scattered,” “spread out” everywhere and anywhere; only a tiny bit of the soul is in their bodies. The soul’s energy is just enough for such a body (person) to function, literally to survive.
There are people in whom a huge part of the soul descends into the body. These are sovereign beings, that is, self-sufficient, whole people who do not need “additions” to feel their fullness and wholeness.
The soul is everywhere.
There are four points (or centers) with which the soul intersects. For example, one is in the head, another in the higher heart, and yet another in the area of the (lower) dantian.
There is an opinion that the soul is connected to the blood, and therefore is everywhere.
In fact, the location of the soul does not matter, because a person’s primary task is to establish a connection with their soul, that is, to make contact with it.
This task remains unachievable as long as you have the eternal chatter of the mind going on, and as long as you rely on external authorities. Any such distractions prevent you from hearing the quiet voice (whisper) of the soul.

How We Are Structured
We are “structured” according to the principle of nested matryoshka dolls. We (in the body) are the smallest doll. Above us is another one, above that another, and so on.
The basic rule of nested dimensions: the 3rd dimension is nested within the 4th; the 4th dimension is nested within the 5th, and so on.
Those who are at the level of higher dimensions have access to all lower ones, but not vice versa.
Those who vibrate at the 3D level do not have access to the 4th dimension. Those whose consciousness is at the 4th level do not have access to the 5th, etc.
No matter how many souls are inside our body, its vast majority is always “above.” The main question is whether you hear it, whether you talk to it.
As long as you do not trust yourself, you are likely filtering out all the hints that arise within you.
Your Higher Selves are not individualized; they are a collective consciousness. It is like a Divine “soup.”
On one hand, this dish has a single flavor. On the other, you can simultaneously taste the flavor of its individual ingredients (each vegetable, etc.).
This is how all levels of you, all your selves, look, starting from the 8th dimension level (the Higher Self level). Each level has its own name. For example, the 12th level is the level of creator gods who create universes.

Soul Incarnation and the Time Parameter
Part of your soul may reside in another person. At the same time, it can be incarnated.
Outside of human life, there is no time, so all incarnations occur simultaneously.
A person who incarnated in our days and died may reincarnate in a period such as the Middle Ages. Their soul decides that this experience will now be interesting to it.
Time is a parameter of the 3rd dimension. Only here does linear time exist: past – present – future.
Starting from the 4th dimension, the nature of time changes. In the 5th dimension, there is only the eternal Now.
Accordingly, at any moment you can be in any place.
Animal Souls
Animals have a soul, but it is a group soul. There are also souls of subspecies. For example, Maine Coon cats have a group soul of Maine Coons.
After the transition of an individual animal, what was known to it becomes known to all, its experience becomes the property of the group’s common experience.

“Every human being on Earth has a soul. However, this is not a simple one-to-one ratio: seven billion bodies – seven billion souls.”

This means that only a small part of the soul is located in the human body. Moreover, there may be very little of it.
Part of the soul is at the level of the 7th dimension. Part is incarnated on other levels, in other civilizations, and so on.
“Out of seven billion souls, there are currently about one and a half billion souls on Earth that can be considered sovereign. They are complete souls in human bodies, meaning the greater part of the soul is embedded in human form.
Roughly another four and a half billion souls maintain minimal connection with the Parent part.”
And about a billion souls are so fragmented that there is a very small amount of soul energy present in their human bodies, in many cases just enough to sustain the body’s life. (Sal Rachel)
