In society, self-realization is usually understood as successful social expression, achieving success, and raising one’s status — stepping onto a certain rung in society so that you are noticed and, accordingly, considered a successful person.
Most of the spiritual audience understands self-realization as purpose, mission, the discovery of one’s unique talents and abilities — that is, everything more connected with spiritual search and the unfolding of one’s spiritual potentials.
The word “self-realization” is a calque from English. And in English, it’s simple: self-realization equals self-awareness of oneself. That is, with each step, we get to know ourselves more deeply, discover something new about ourselves, and bring that into the world.
Read on to learn what self-realization means through expressing your uniqueness.
A person who has begun the path of understanding and knowing themselves already knows, even on an informational level, that they have something special.
This is written and talked about everywhere — that there are about 8 billion people on planet Earth, and that each of us has something extraordinary, something unique, that only we have and no one else does.
This applies not only to spiritual people but to everyone present on the planet. Otherwise, there would be no point in incarnating here.
Acknowledging Your Uniqueness
For some reason, when the question is specifically about uniqueness, about being special — many people look for something obvious, grandiose, and very different.
Surely you’ve had moments in life when you looked at others’ actions and realized you behave completely differently from your loved ones and friends. Your environment is a good litmus test to find and see those first signals, your difference from others.
Some people have the ability to sense whether something will work or not, how justified it is, how unjustified, whether it’s even worth getting into.
And until you encounter someone who doesn’t have that quality or trait, you don’t value it in yourself, you don’t even consider it an ability. The catch here is that it’s so inherent to you, you’ve done it so often, that you don’t even notice it.
So it’s good to play on contrast here — just review all your acquaintances, especially any new contacts from recent times.
When you talk very closely with someone on such intimate topics and suddenly realize that you have this inside you, while the person sitting across from you has no idea what it even is.

Professional Uniqueness
The second topic is your professional path. This is the place where you work, because each of you is a kind of specialist. Some got a higher education and worked in that field, some changed careers — it doesn’t matter. There is a circle of people, your colleagues, who do roughly the same thing. Often your uniqueness is hidden in your professional sphere.
There is one question — you and your colleagues do the same work, you do roughly the same thing. What sets you apart from this circle of people?
For example: there are hundreds, thousands, even millions of accountants. If you are an accountant, what specifically sets you apart? The whole office is full of these accountants, everyone does the same thing. But you have that very zest that others don’t. If you look closely at your work, whatever you do, you will see it.
And here’s an interesting point: if you change your activity, move from one job to another, then each time this zest will be different. Uniqueness, ability, talent — it’s not one single thing that hangs on you like a brand, and if you haven’t found it — then that’s it, there’s nowhere to go. It is a process that unfolds gradually.
When I was a teacher, I had a communication skill and the ability to connect with the outside world, a kind of drive and enthusiasm, that is, it was all leadership-like, but it manifested a little differently. Gathering people, aiming for something grandiose, something no one in the city had done, some international projects.
The next point — a translator. Once, this situation was shown to me very beautifully, and now I will talk with you about this topic. I had an interview coming up, and I knew they would ask me, what makes you different from other translators?
As a normal person, I saw my weaknesses. For example, I don’t have a magnificent literary language, because I was never particularly interested in the Russian literary language. What I didn’t have at that moment — I understood well, but I needed to find specifically what I did have. But then I found the answer: no matter how “clumsy” it sounds, the texts in my translation preserve the energetic content almost without distortion. A translator is, in a way, a different person, but everything the channel transmits — passes through almost without distortion.
Therefore, the second question, which you all ask, lies precisely in the sphere of what exactly you do. You can come up with any answer. And then just watch — is that really so? And each time, deepen your additions to it.

Vibrational Uniqueness
Imagine yourself now next to a person you look up to, from whom you are learning something, some skill, perhaps a mentor.
You understand that this person has walked the path you are just beginning to walk. So you stand next to them and read their vibration. A powerful process of initiation and transformation is triggered in you, just by being nearby.
Because you are in this person’s field, your course changes, your feeling changes, everything changes, and life turns in a different direction, bringing many insights and revelations.
You are exactly the same kind of soul for the masses that are always around you. Simply because they are a few steps lower in their level of development.
Those who have never heard about mindfulness and awakening — they generally experience immediate aggression, because you are not like them, and they instantly attack; this is very clearly observed in queues.
In a bank, for example, little old ladies are ready to lash out just because you are different; they don’t understand you at all. They sense something, but they can’t even grasp what it is. Or, on the contrary, people can’t tear themselves away from you; they want to continue the conversation, just for the sake of talking.
You are like a magnet, affecting people either with your aggression or your attraction — like moths flying to a light. And this will always be the case, wherever you go. And then it’s worth understanding — what will I do?
Remember someone who is a “giant” for you. Well, you are the same giants for ordinary people, especially if you are in a state of peace and balance, not imposing your thoughts, not popularizing anything, but simply being nearby. This alone provides a stimulus.
What you are doing right now, even if you aren’t talking to anyone, placing a hand on someone, smiling at someone — this is the spreading of vibration. You are such walking “carriers of a completely different, special vibration”.
Is this self-realization or not? Is this fulfilling a mission or not? Of course.
And with all this, you are simply living, doing what you do, going somewhere, studying something, practicing something. And it doesn’t matter what you did, whether you were with me, or whether you were somewhere else. Everything you have taken in, everything you have processed within yourself — is transmitted to people on the level of vibrations.

Gratitude and Empowering Other People
Another point is gratitude. The fact that you need to be grateful is beyond doubt; absolutely all of you do this. Some have cultivated it within themselves, for others it was born naturally.
Most people around you have no idea what it means to be grateful. They know how to pay for something, how to say “thank you” while feeling nothing at all.
And there is a small group of people who, either in a moment of insight or genuinely, can experience true gratitude from the heart. For the most part, the people around you are used to taking, taking, taking, and if you don’t give — they’ll even start cursing.
And when you give thanks for something, doing it sincerely, and sometimes even accompanying it with some explanation — what happens to people in that moment? Isn’t this the fulfillment of your mission?
The way you do it is unique, because it is you who is doing it.
Out of 8 billion people, only about 10-20 percent are those who can pass on a piece of their strength, empowering people.
Every time you pass a piece of yourself to someone, to any passerby, you feel a powerful surge, even if you are tired — there is a surge.
And the more you open up, the more you allow yourself to show this — and you don’t need to go on stage and lead millions — but in these small things, the better you fulfill your mission, your purpose. But if you feel a calling that you need to go out somewhere else, then you need to follow it.

The Radiance of the Soul
The next step is to do something useful. This is the soul’s call — to go out and shine and radiate.
What could that be? To determine this, to get the green light, you need a clear understanding of where you are right now.
When I was a teacher, I never thought I would become a translator. When I was translating books, I never thought I would end up on stage. When I was channeling, I never thought I would later have my own broadcasts, that I would find it so fascinating. I used to say I wasn’t going anywhere, that it wasn’t for me, that I didn’t want it, that I was more interested behind the computer.
But now I understand that it was an attempt not so much to hide, but to not fully open up. And what’s the point of planning every detail of what’s next, when life is full of surprises? For that, you need a clear understanding — where am I right now. Do I have any problems, and if so, what are they?

The Algorithm for Fulfilling Your Mission and Purpose
Each of you, regardless of what you do, is already fulfilling your mission, your purpose.
With small, beautiful steps that are so natural for you that you don’t even notice them. So if anyone is preoccupied with something global, grandiose — let go of that thought, you are already doing it.
Next point: if deep down you still feel a sense of dissatisfaction, if you want to play a bigger role in the world, then say it like that. Not “I’m trying to find my mission, my purpose,” but rather — “I am clearly defining where I am right now. I want to go there, I need this, this is my goal, my task, my plans,” and so on…
Move away from the abstract! What you have ordered for yourself on the soul level and planned, you are still doing step by step. There’s no turning back from it! And now something else comes into play — what do I want, who do I want to be, where do I want to move. But for this, you need to fix two points of attention: the first point is where I am right now. And the next point is where I want to arrive.
To make it concrete, take a problem area. For some, it’s finances; for others, social fulfillment. Some need publications on websites or in magazines; others need their name to be famous on television.
Arranging recognition in terms of social life is very simple — if you have the desire. Direct your attention there, look around at how it can be done, and the solution will come.
Next point — where do I want to arrive. Let’s compare the two realities, look at the level of beliefs — where is the “trap,” what is the difference?
I can’t afford anything, I just need to make it to my next paycheck. Or, on the contrary, I walk into a store and buy only quality, good things. Because I deserve it. And the list of first steps practically writes itself. First of all, don’t skimp, don’t hold back, don’t be wasteful, don’t squander, but take exactly what you need. And move forward with these small steps.
As soon as the first step is taken, as soon as you enter this movement, opportunities appear. And what you do with those opportunities — that’s up to you. Either you grab them, or you let them pass you by.
But if fear arises that you won’t cope — know that a “treasure” is buried there just for you. That’s exactly what fear is signaling, and it’s the ego that’s afraid, because it “has never tried it before.”
And if you look deep into your soul, you will see that your soul is trembling. If you move forward, the process gains momentum.
Start taking steps, seizing opportunities. They are constantly presented to you, provided you have the desire to move. And for that, at least somehow define for yourself — where to. If you can’t define what you want, write down what you don’t want. To remove it from your path.
Go through the meditation “Empowering the Soul,” to illuminate and release everything that prevents you from empowering yourself with your Soul’s strength.
Can you determine how you differ from other people as a person, as a specialist? Are you satisfied with where you are now, or do you want something more?
