2 letters from the SPLAT package

Last year, I already shared the letters from the Splat toothpaste packaging. And here’s a new tube of toothpaste, a new letter.

I was too lazy to scan it, so I went to the search engine, wondering if the “Letters of Happiness” had appeared on the company’s official website…

And I was really surprised: it turns out that MANY people don’t even get WHY the company’s CEO, Evgeny Demin, puts these letters in every package )))

Once again, I was delighted by what a warm and conscious company has gathered at the Keys of Mastery!

Letter 75

On December 21, 2012, the Sun will cross the plane of the Milky Way, and according to the interpreters of the Mayan calendar, the end of the world will come.

A team of scientists from NASA expects unprecedented solar activity in September 2012, which will lead to a huge man-made disaster in the world.

Seismologists predict for the same period the awakening of the Ring of Fire – a chain of dormant volcanoes crossing the entire planet.

Nobel laureates predict a new financial crisis in 2012. Russia will be electing a new president, and Vanga believed that in 2012 there would be a change of eras… And that the majority of young and active Russians would like to live in another country.

That’s the kind of horror stories that fill almost every newspaper, and many shows on central channels are about roughly the same thing.

It often happens that we waste time waiting for the future, comforting ourselves that a better life is already near, just around the corner, we just need to wait. We start eating right only from Monday, so today we can have two pieces of cake. We don’t have time to read a book to our kids on weekdays, comforting ourselves that the weekend will come.

We think about how if I were younger (smarter, prettier, richer), my life would have turned out completely differently, in a different job, in a different country, with a different person… Putting off all unpleasant, tedious, and difficult tasks until the last minute and still remaining unhappy under the weight of this responsibility. Constantly expecting that our wife, neighbors, the president, or a lucky break owe us something: to cook dinner, clean the entrance, regularly raise our salary, and put more football on the TV schedule.

From the point of view of an Orthodox person, all this is complete nonsense. And if you think rationally, then, at the very least, it’s foolish to waste energy and time worrying about things you have no control over and cannot influence.

Therefore, our motto for 2012: “Do what you must, and come what may” – says that it’s important to take responsibility for your actions, help those who need it most, and live according to your conscience.

It’s pointless to fear the end of the world if you can’t escape it. Solar flares and volcanoes have existed for centuries, and humanity has learned to predict and protect itself from them. The financial crisis harshly punishes greed and excessive consumption, but those who live within their means have nothing to fear. It’s too late to move to another country – right now, Russia offers the greatest opportunities for young and active people.

No one knows how, when, or how the life of each of us will end.

Only this will matter:

  • Was it filled with meaning and love for people;
  • Did we extend a helping hand to those who asked;
  • Did we try to change our habits and behavior for the better;
  • Did we raise worthy children?
  • Are we happy, or are we just trying to meet others’ expectations?
  • Are we close with family and friends?
  • Does our work bring us satisfaction and joy, or just money?

This is what we should think about every day. So it’s absolutely pointless to watch a show about intrigues and investigations for the tenth time. What matters is – right now, get off the couch, go and build a huge snowman with your kids!

Thank you for your lively communication and support. For the real life stories, your own discoveries, and letters. It’s a huge happiness – to feel your pulse and work in the same rhythm for kind, open, and evolving people! We are always here, real, living people, passionate about our work and open to friends!

Everything will be fine!

Letter 80

THERE IS A SMALL ENVELOPE ON MY DESK, with one sheet of white paper inside. On this sheet, a few numbers are written – on this day next year, my heart will stop.

And everything will end. Or everything will just begin. But one thing is absolutely certain: I won’t be able to see my children grow up and become independent. I won’t be able to take them to their prom or walk them down the aisle. I will never know who will be the Olympic medalists in 2014, I won’t go on a summer vacation to the sea, and I won’t know who my grandchildren will look like.

But right now, I already know for sure that my tomorrow will be completely unlike my today. After all, I understand how much time I have. That’s how people are wired, those who believe they have eternity ahead of them and spend that eternity without measure. I remember every day I wasted on foolishness and nonsense, and I would gladly trade them for one day of life after the appointed time.

I remember the hours spent in traffic jams, in stores or cafes – and I gladly offer their weight for the chance to play with my children one more time.

The fragments of meaningless, empty conversations, uninteresting movies, time spent on the Internet – I weigh all of this and give it away for the opportunity to help those who needed that help and whom I did not help.

I break out in a cold sweat, realizing that for most of my conscious life, I cared about and took pride in things that take away time and money and add no happiness or peace.

I got angry, nervous, and worried about things that will crumble to dust tomorrow – about things no one needs but me. I advised, judged, and evaluated those who never asked me for anything. I let my body rule my mind, telling it how much to eat, when to sleep, and demanding rest and care.

And I kept putting things off, putting them off until tomorrow, because I had eternity ahead of me.

WHEN YOU HAVE LITTLE TIME, EVERYTHING TAKES ON ITS TRUE VALUE.

Call everyone you’ve hurt and upset, or flip through a magazine?

Bury your face in your children’s hair and close your eyes, or finish watching the football game?

Hug your wife and feel her most beloved heart beating, or check your social media page?

Drop a coin into a street musician’s cap, or walk on by?

I think I’ve read about this somewhere before, but now I understand how all the receptors become heightened — how delicious the air tastes, how pleasant the tablecloth feels to the touch, and how wonderful it is to drink spring water! My eyes discern new shades, my ears hear unusual sounds.

I was the way I was — because I didn’t think this would happen to me. When the sand slips through your fingers, it feels like I could count every single grain.

In front of me on the table lies a small envelope, inside it a single sheet of white paper. On this sheet are written a few numbers — these are the results of my preventive blood tests. They are all perfectly fine.

It’s just that when I opened the envelope, someone from before — proud, vain, squandering time and opportunities, calloused and hardened — became a little smaller inside me.

Everything is just beginning, a second chance, a backup line. And if I get stuck in the web again, refuse to reach out first out of pride, or put off an important task until tomorrow, please remind me of this envelope.

Thank you for your lively communication and support. For real-life stories, personal discoveries, and letters. It is an immense happiness to feel your pulse and work in the same rhythm for kind, open, and evolving people! We are always here, real, genuine people, passionate about our work and open to friends!

Everything will be fine!
