The Search for Purpose: A Mind Trap
The period of life after age 30 is often associated with searching for purpose. At this time, it’s easy to fall into a mind trap.
For example, many people invest huge amounts of money so that someone (various experts, trainings) can “specifically name” what their purpose is.
Relief in “the search” comes only when you start doing what brings you pleasure.
Being happy and doing what brings you joy and pleasure is the realization of your purpose.

If It’s Hard to Determine Your Purpose
Stop worrying about the question of how to determine your purpose. Getting the answer won’t change anything for you.
The right question is not “what is my purpose,” but “what can I do today to feel happier?”
When you face the question of purpose, I interpret it like this:
- I don’t know what I am. I really don’t know myself.
- I don’t know what I want from life. I have no plans of my own. I shift this onto some mythical purpose, meaning some higher powers should tell me what I planned as a soul here.
- I am unable to trust my heart and go by feel.
Steve Rother said that before you incarnate into a body, the soul scatters crystals along the path. When you meet a certain person, end up in a specific place, or some coincidence of events occurs, at that moment a feeling of recognition appears.
This is your crystal going off. This is your hint: “Dear, you are on the right path.” But what does that mean? “I don’t know myself. I don’t know what I want, and I am not following my heart.”
This is the most powerful revelation of what I need to do. Instead of thinking “how?”, I go and find out: “What do I actually like?”, “What do I enjoy?”, “What kind of people do I like to communicate with?” and so on.
Previously, people graduated from university, got a profession, and worked in one field their whole lives. Now many change their line of work, often radically, every 3-5-7 years.
In the past, I was an English teacher. Now I am a coach. Because I have a gift for words, and no matter through what prism or external manifestations, I realize this gift. I have a teacher inside me.

Higher Service and new opportunities for realization

Old missions are completed. Contracts are closed. From now on, opportunities will open up for many. These opportunities may be related to a change in activity, particularly in how you help other people.
Therefore, you may unexpectedly find that you no longer derive satisfaction from what you are doing. Perceive this as a signal – to turn on your “locators” and carefully track the unfolding options.

These opportunities and hints from the universe will only be visible to those who make the corresponding choice. If you continue to cherish and feed grievances, claims, judgment, guilt, fears, and anxieties, that is your choice.
It blocks the ability to see unfolding opportunities. To see them, you must work through all the blocking ballast.
Today, working through is essentially letting go by the power of your choice. Previously, to work through, you had to toil. Now, it is enough to let go.
This also applies to various addictions and codependencies (such as unrequited love or love for former partners, etc.).
First – through letting go – you clear the physical space within yourself. Only after this do you begin to see the perspective and opportunities.
Otherwise, you simply cannot reach the higher reality; you are unable to establish a connection.
