How to let go of poverty — can a spiritual person be poor?

«We are one. There is no one else but us. There is only one me, fragmented into billions of particles of souls simultaneously experiencing life. The further a person is from their ego and separate personality, the closer they are to the focus of everything. The closer they are to the focus of unified consciousness, the freer they are to utilize the benefits of unified consciousness.»

Svetlana Dobrovolskaya

In the 3D world, polar points of view are common: either-or. Either bad or good.

If we talk about the topic of the spiritual and the material, we often encounter spiritual people who reject everything material, from their own body to money, and wealthy, rich people who are, however, without spirituality.

In society, it is even customary to condemn the rich.

And this is not surprising, because many generations grew up on fairy tales and stories where a rich person is necessarily bad, greedy, mean, avaricious, while a poor person is noble, honest, generous.

But if we set aside these beliefs and move away from these extremes, the question arises: Can a spiritual person, in principle, be poor? Let us talk about this topic today.

Balance of the Spiritual and the Material

Both light and dark exist within each of us. The concept that I convey through the Keys of Mastery consists of returning to oneself by accepting lost, rejected, unrecognized, unloved parts of oneself into a single whole.

When we become whole, including by connecting and integrating our spiritual, advanced part, what is called the Higher Self, or for some, the Divine Self, then we arrive at what we were meant to incarnate with.

Our entire journey over many years comes down to this: time and again, we reclaim parts of ourselves. It doesn’t matter whether we lost these parts in this life or a past one — in this way, we return to ourselves.

Therefore, light and dark are one and the same. Each of us has lived both light and dark incarnations — where we served the forces of evil, where we were a great prophet, and so on.

I stand for wholeness, for the absence of illusions about what is happening in the world.

Despite the fact that our project is dedicated to spiritual practices and meditations, I advocate for the union of the material and the spiritual. And my favorite metaphor is: a bird cannot fly with one wing.

An airplane cannot stay in the air if one wing is removed. The material and the spiritual are equal. And this is precisely the meaning of this path.

For some, it is simply necessary to accept that the material is not dirty — it has its own value, its own meaning, and thus let go of poverty. For others, on the contrary, they need to carve their way from matter, from the world of money, passions, and attachments, toward the spirit.

Two paths, and they are completely equally valid. Neither is better or worse.

How to let go of poverty and what this concept means from a spiritual perspective

Poverty is a certain type of thinking. It is those limitations, worldview, and mindset that you, for some reason, have chosen to believe in. Poverty is in the mind.

Here the question arises: how ready are you to step beyond your limitations, sort through your thoughts, allow yourself to expand, and move forward despite uncertainty and fears?

In contrast to poverty, the feeling of prosperity, the abundance of the universe — this is a worldview that you gain not from the mind, but through practice, by living through certain experiences, extracting your pearls of wisdom from them, and reformatting yourself to a different perception of life.

This is the spiritual path we walk on the Keys of Mastery.

Can a person, in this understanding, be poor, be in that same limited consciousness when you are sure that there is not enough for everyone and nothing can be changed?

It all depends on the angle from which you look at things. After all, any situation can be turned around and seen in a completely different light.

The more steps you take on the spiritual path, the more you feel your soul, the more you build this connection with the spirit, allowing your soul and spirit to reside in the physical body, the higher your results will be, including financial ones.

But not everyone needs financial results. Some people have a very small income, yet they prosper and live in abundance because they have an inner feeling that there is enough of everything in their lives.

They get a kick out of it, experiencing pleasure and joy. Prosperity does not depend on the presence of money; it is an inner feeling.

In what case, having embarked on the path of spiritual development, do people become moneyless

There are separate categories of people who have renounced material goods for the sake of their soul, in order to live.

This is a category of people who held major high-ranking positions or were owners of large businesses. At some point, they realized they were destroying themselves, their souls, were slaves to their business, betraying themselves, not doing what they wanted, but working for money, position, power, and so on.

They choose to leave, give up everything, seclude themselves, move somewhere to a village to feel freedom, do what they want, preserve their soul, preserve themselves.

For many in this situation, the hardest thing to accept is that they need to stop, leave all of this behind to preserve themselves.

If I am spiritual, why am I without money?

Often, spiritual people treat the material world and money with contempt, thereby violating the law of fair energy exchange.

They accept one thing and push away another. But in life, everything strives for balance.

Usually, such a rejection of the material occurs at the initial stage of spiritual development. These people have a need to immerse themselves in this facet, to sink to the bottom, in order to rise again in harmony and balance.

Based on the experience of our paid course participants, we start from the bottom, when we had nothing. And we gradually move upward, building ourselves and our lives.

There is also a third group of people who do not know themselves, who drown their emotions in extravagance, fill the emptiness inside their hearts with shopping and consumption, live at a level of rivalry: I must have the newest fashionable watch, the latest iPhone, exclusivity, luxury, expensive brands. They also have their own path.

How to overcome the paradigm of a poverty mindset

«You have to pay for everything» — this is one of the beliefs of a poverty mindset.

When you step over this, you look at everything from a different angle, you expand and realize that the universe is abundant.

You no longer evaluate the situation, a choice of either-or: either bad or good (which is also a manifestation of a poverty mindset).

Because there is good, and better, and best, and many more options.

It is difficult for the mind to surrender, to accept that it does not know some options, but this is one of the steps towards freeing yourself from a scarcity mindset.

A good question: Why can’t it be both?

To step over the paradigm of a poverty mindset:

  • Start with managing your thoughts (meditation on a candle, on a fire, on nature, watching water), learn to be an observer. When you enter a state of “zen,” you do not judge your thoughts, you do not follow them blindly, you begin to hear yourself, to understand what you want.
  • To take control of your emotions, heal your traumas, that which you react to. And that reaction will disappear from you.
  • Then begin working on your limiting beliefs, regarding value, money, etc. This is the spiritual path.

Gradually, you will set aside the poverty paradigm and begin to believe, telling yourself: “I believe in the best, I am tuned into the best.” Further, you will feel worthy.

This is how people later change their professions, cities, and countries of residence.

First, fill yourself financially, and then think about charity

Each of us has our own level of self-worth. For some, only basic needs must be met; for others, all existing needs must be satisfied.

When you find your self-worth, everything adjusts to that, including money. Then you set a bar for yourself, below which you will not fall. This will become a default built-in option.

And no matter what happens in life, you will not fall below this bar (financial level), and even if it happens, it will be temporary.

When you are fulfilled and satisfy all your needs based on your worth, then you can help others, do something without taking money for it, or choose whom you want to help.

If you are not financially fulfilled, the issue of charity should not be a priority. Your task is to first fill yourself financially. And the simplest way is to charge money for your work.
